Makes sense, since the movies are darker.

The trailer rocked!!! Please don't show too much more, I'd hate to see most of the movie through commercials.

I 100% agree with you both, that ROTF is gonna :music  :rock  :bay

My thoughts exactly! Not only was the trailer awesome, but it should garner more interest in Transformers. I bet you anything we'll be flooded with new fans because of ROTF.

    So true... so true...

Yes, oh God YES!!! This is going to be the most exciting TF film EVER!!!

I'm curious if ROTF has a legit chance of being this year's Dark Knight.

If you mean the #1 movie of the year? Yes. It won't come close to the $$$ though.

i think Star Trek, Wolverine and Up will do big numbers too, but i think TF has a pretty good shot @ being #1 for the year if it lives up to the teasers promise... Watchmen might be a darkhorse contender, but it's rating will probably prevent it from doing epic numbers.

Edit: oh, i forgot Terminator and Harry Potter, those should be pretty huge too ~ The Terminator preview looks awesome, and ya gotta figure Bale's gonna put butts in seats after Dark Knight

    Fast and Furious
    Angels & Demons

It's gonna be a tough call.

I'm stoked that it did so massively well, but it wigs me out that they can track things like this. I'm sure Big Brother needed to spend 57 trillion dollars in tax money to find out that Transformers trailers beat Pepsi ads 2 to 1.

I'm stationed in Japan so we don't get Super Bowl commercials here. In fact cause of the time difference we see the game Monday morning. I was at work while everyone else was watching the game, which was fine cause I really don't care about fooooseball anyway... But sure as sh*t, I made sure I came here to see that ROTF trailer, and was NOT dissappointed! I can't watch vids at work (firewall), so I brought my laptop in after loading it, and couldn't stop hitting replay!!! All my co-workers were stoked too!

    Way to go Bay!

Oh, and I just found out I'm deploying in April, so I get to be gone during its release, dammit!

Who said it was tax dollars? I'm sure it's a private company that gets paid a good chunk of all those ridiculous advertising fees.

I think they may have generated a little bit of interest in this movie.

What does tax money and the government have to do with private media firms allied with advertisers researching viewer interest into their advertisements? Nothing.
