Interesting to read these opinions...I think many of you make good points... but I have to say that Galvatron might be my favorite of the bunch so I'm probably out of step. Yes..he's overly ambitious for the deluxe size point...and it definitely suffers for it but I love the complexity, the very original and fresh transformation and I think the robot mode is awesome looking...if it was a Voyager, it would be a homerun.

So my LEAST favorite... is Jetfire. I do like the toy...but there is something really unappealing about it. The articulation is lacking, the helmet thing...while a good idea, just misses the mark. The jet is squarish and weird... aesthetically, it has NOTHING on the original mould. Again, I like the toy but for $20, I wanted to love it.

I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the new classics moulds. Most of them have a weakness or two but I don't regret buying a single one of them..

One exception: After seeing Henkei Smokescreen... I actually do regret buying the Universe version. The colors paint aps are crappy on the Universe one and they don't do justice to the original G1 Smokescreen... the Henkei one looks gorgeous. I just preordered one! :)

    Worst IMO.

Autobot - well. Even thought I bought the Universe 25th Anniversary. I have to say G1 Prime, only because he has the castrated smoke stacks and the american re-colored trailer. The Takara one is far better. But its just my opinion.

Decepticon - Galvatron takes my vote easily. His mold isnt bad, looks just like his G1 self. But he's too small for such a high profile character. Plenty of other TF characters got great molds and designs. Ironhide is awesome!

But Galvatron is just off. He's too lose, or too sensitive. His tank mode is okay, but thats been Megatrons default for the last 2 decades since the G1 remold into the tank back in the 90s. So, it feels like a cop-out instead of making his cannon mode.

Overall, no, hes not that bad honestly. But compared to some of the other figues, he is the worst.

Worst Bot: Prowl - not bad in either mode, but the transformation involving shoving the door-chunks into place with at least a 50% chance of popping off no matter what you do ruins it for me. I gave the top spot to Prowl since that one seems the most stick-paint prone as well.

Runners-up: Grimlock and Powerglide - basically more toys I wanted to like but flaws and certain design decisions queered the deal.

Worst Con: Galvatron - What could have been a decent Voyager or Ultra toy is crammed into a deluxe form (and busted in the process). I like the idea, but definitely not the execution.

Godly Bots: Optimus (voyager), Bumblebee (deluxe), Hound (deluxe)

Godly Cons: Cyclonus, G2 Megatron (legends), Music Label Soundwave (heh)

It would appear I'm one of those few collectors who likes Grimlock and Octane/Tankor as well. I think they're both great figures, and I even like Galvatron despite his flaws.

Out of the ClassicsVerse I have, Worst Autobot would most likely be Hot Rod, due to the lack of any real poseability in the arms. It's too bad his arms suffered so badly too because other than that, he's a great figure.

Worst Decpitcon (again, only out of what I have) is probably 25th Ver Starscream due to his horrible horrible floppiness all over the place. I like the Seeker mold itself, but my poor Screamer has got LooseJointItis like you wouldn't believe.

In all honesty though, despite the flaws that some of the figures have, or LooseJointItis, I like all of the ClassicsVerse figures I have. All of the ones that have flaws also have redeeming qualities to me, yes even Blaster.

Besides, he also said in his OP that 2.0 counted. So Blaster is fair game in my book.

And yes, Galvatron has his faults. But he tends to grow on you after a while. I still stand by my choice of him being the worst of the Cons in Classics/Universe.

Classics? Not really. The first post excluded the worst 2 new molds, I don't count any of the repainted leftovers, so I guess it's Grimlock whose designer failed to understand the theme of the line. He should've been held back for Universe, which was all about stupid and lazy "reimagining" for the first couple of waves.

So, if it's not obvious yet, Universe is a mixed bag. Powerglide's pointlessly big and dull. Galvatron's too small and panelly. Ironhide's an aborted Bayformer. Prowl's got door clearance problems and no QC in painting. Onslaught, who was otherwise OK, shipped with broken electonics for most of his run.

Not a fan of dumping in repaints, though they have generally been better than the abominations that killed the original Universe. Not a fan of the non-G1 influences either, though they're contributing a little more this time than just dumping Minicons into Classics. Also not a fan of dumping all sorts of meandering sublines into what was once very tightly focused and a runaway success for it.

It's a shame that magnificent figures like Hound get lost in this sea of mediocrity and will be even further crowded out when Bayformers2 debris or unimaginative Animated repaints get dumped into it during or after the upcoming haitus, but even worse that they'll probably make money hand over fist selling 25 variants of Bumblebee repaints to the same suckers that fell for it in 2007.

The two I have actually have really good joints. Just as good as the other four Seekers on my shelf.

I love em all, but that's partly because I'm fine with tightening joints and painting anything I don't like the colors of. I love Octankor, Grimlock, and Galvatron.

But there are a couple molds I won't buy, so I guess those are my least favorites: Powerglide, Cheetor, and Dinobot. Silverbolt is close to the "won't buy" list, but I guess I'd buy him if he was super cheap because of his cool plane mode and decent bot mode (but lousy transformation, IMHO).

I'm not even putting Cheetor and Dinobot into consideration, they may or may not be good toys, I just don't care for Beast Wars.

Classics: Grimlock. Nothing really classic about him at all.

Universe/Classics: Cheetor. I can't bring myself to buy him even when he was $8. And I bought Armada Hotshot.
