That thing behind his head could well be his engine (as someone suggested) but I wonder why it's there. If it doesn't TF into something why bother moulding it and making it come out of the bonnet, otoh if it does TF into something (come on missile pod) then I can't imagine that they wouldn't mark it up on the packaging.

Confusion, as ever, reigns.

 

I'd venture a guess that the size box/package is the same as the recent two-pack releases of repainted Prime/Bonecrusher and Megatron/Jazz.

I'd say BB's size is in between deluxe and voyager. I just hope that the Sam figure is relative to Leader Prime. That would rock!

I always thought that Hasbro should have made the human characters/figures available with the toy line. The closest I found were the army/air force figs at target for the 9.99 price point (1/32nd scale).

 

Bumblebee looks really cool. It looks like they finally pulled off the hood transformation.

 

This bigger Bumblebee toy is freaking wicked, I just noticed that his right arm has an identical missile clip on it like the left so it looks like the arm should be able to transform into a regular hand.

you can see the missile clip there straight down from sam's right hand and what looks like a grey hinge for the gun to swing back on at the back of the black gun piece just like mk1 leader prime.

I also noticed that his knees transform from the rear end and that his bonnet has three layers of panels in bot mode.

Aside from the slightly odd looking sam figure, the inaccurate front leg armour and the whole seat on arm thing this is a really slick toy. A definite buy for me along with Mk2 Leader Prime, the new screamer and sideswipe so far.

 

Hasbro please please please, make the lights rotate around PLEASE! Then this figure would be perfect!!!!!!! The lights on the legs bother me soooo much! I dont know why!

 

it doesnt have a seat on his arm, that is actually just arm armor, its on the other arm too!

 

I really hope so because that really looks like a seat to me. The left arm doesn't have as much armour as that also.

 

I am starting to think this thing might actually be not much larger than the deluxe figures from the first movie. Look how much empty space there is in the box. You would think that a larger figure would fill up the box more since they try to not take up too much shelf space, where as the smaller figures get boxes with extra room so they get enough space on the boxes to show everything they want.

I'm going to guess this is maybe an inch or so longer then the deluxe. At first I was thinking a halfway point between the Ultimate and Deluxe, but that seems too big.

 

I hope we get to see photos of the additional characters soon.

bb looks good but it looks like the windshield hangs past his knees in back. im sold because shiaclone cracks me up.

 

Nice I'll get the Bumblebee figure cause I like that vehicle mode....and use that Sam figure for other means...hehehehehehe....

 

interesting. I do see that theres a seat on BB's arm, but I think that maybe it might swing around?? The image on the back of the package kind of looks like theres some type of hingy bar thingy.

Looking at the new pics it looks like the transformation looks fairly engaging. I'm disappointed BB doesn't have two hands. It doesn't like there's any waist articulation either. Regardless, this looks like a really fun figure. Definite must have for me.

Mikaela and the army crew? I pray to god yes! Maybe we could see some kind of official Sari figure later too? If this proves successful at least. I wonder how others would be packed or if we might see more TFs that can fit them. =D Finally an actual to scale war!

 

You know something? Your quote above clearly points out to Optimus Prime's BIGGEST mistake on his deathbed. (In G1 fashion)

He should've pass on the the Matrix of Leadership to Bumblebee instead, knowing that BB will outsell Ultra Magnus
& Rodimus Prime from year 2007-2009!
