Heh. Not a whole lot of new information here... but there really never is at ToyFare. Though, confirmation of BB & Soundwave being preview figures is good... as that means that we'll likely be seeing a bigger and better version of Soundwave later on in the line.

The train and RPM's sound interesting, but not something I'd plan on buying. Great stuff for the kiddies and train enthusiasts though.

This is all the news that was revealed?!??! stupid! I guess February will bring the big news.

 

I sincerely hope NYC Toyfair will reveal more. Last time we had a Toyfair before the movie there were next to no photos of the actual movie toys, just more off the wall stuff like the voice changer and Prime-arm blaster.

Considering they reported "Tons of ROTF mock ups", were they unable to see them? Ar they going to at least describe this shit?

 

It was speculated they were previews, but I tried a search and I believe this is the first confirmation.

Doubtful. According to Super Megatron, it'll be a train set that has a bot that'll interfere with it:

Almost sounds like it'll be based off of a scene from the movie.

As for what we'll be getting from the NY Toy Fair, we should at least get some nice official pictures of some of the figures. Wouldn't surprise me if we got official pictures of the Leader Prime figure, the Bumblebee helmet, the retooled Ultimate BB figure, and maybe one or two other things. Maybe even some in-package images of them too. We'll just have to wait and see. There is one thing surprises me about this Toy Fair. The fact that there seems to be no mention of anything Animated related.

 

I just wanna see ratchets new fig to see if its ether a new mold or with new head, paint apps, and weapons.

 

I'm curious to see what they have in store for Ratchet too. I personally think he'll get a similar treatment to what Ironhide is getting. Basically a repaint/retool that has some updated parts, but nothing major. I'll probably do the same thing with Ratchet that I'm doing with Ironhide. Keep the one I have as Ratchet and rename the new one as a different character. The new Ironhide is going to be my movie version of Trailbreaker.

 

I hope they finally give him that gun they originally were going to do.

I'm hoping the train set will be 4mm and runs on standard 12v DC.  

 

The Train Set is intriguing. If it is anything like the original Tyco set from the 80's, it will be absolutely amazing.

 

I hope that Ratchet gets a brand new mold and transformation. I thought that the first one was WAY too simplistic and not to scale with the other Autobots. Originally he was one of my least favorite looking Autobots until I added the reprolabel stickers and detailed his head, arms, and legs with model paint... then he jumped up a few notches in the likability factor.

If the new one is just a repaint with better weapons... I'll prolly pass.

 

Kind of off-topic, but, for a little while now I was looking to see if I could find a gallery of Mattel's booth. I couldn't find anything, so I found the list of all the venders there, and apparently Mattel wasn't there. Hopefully they'll have a booth for the NY Toy Fair. I'm curious to see if they'll show any more figures for the TBATB line.

 

Ratchet is somewhat deserving of a new toy, he had this definite feel of being the first finished design from the 07 movie line so I reckon he could be done a lot better.

 

Train set... Could this mean Astrotrain, or just some random battle set?
