First time posting in this thread, I've been collecting the Iron Man movie figures the film hit theaters back in May. So far, I've picked up:

    The 6" figures of:
    Mark 1
    Mark 2
    Mark 3
    Iron Monger
    Satellite
    Captain America Armor
    Stealth Striker
    Hot Zone
    Inferno
    Subterranean
    Iron Monger 2
    Both 12" figures of Marks 2 & 3.

I haven't gotten the snap-on Marks 2/3 figures or the regular opening cockpit Iron Monger figure, but those are low priority for me.

I've set my sights on getting Stealth Operations, Torpedo, Battle Monger, Atmospheric Diving, Heavy Artillery, and Gold Mark 1.

Thanks for the welcome. And I just posted a thread regarding Iron Man 2 villain casting over in the Movies and Television forum if you're interested.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Too bad it's not really the kind of thing I buy or I'd definitely go for one!

Inferno Armor was by far the best surprise of the recent waves. The build makes for some excellent poses, and you've gotta love the clear red plastic. I think I left the goofy Super Soaker backpack gun in the package.

I have to ask, has anyone else had a hard time when it comes to finding figures like the Battle Monger, Heavy Artillery, etc. Its pretty much near impossible to find any of the new Iron Man stuff where I live. I've never even been able to find Stealth Operations at any of my local Wal-Marts.

What makes it a bit more annoying is the fact that I found one Battle Monger figure at one of my local Targets, but the package was opened. I've gone back there twice since then in the hopes that they've restocked their shelves and put more out, but no luck.

Target is the only place I have found any of the new figures and I found them all one day a weekend or so ago. Also found them a second time at a different target last weekend. But I have never seen a restock at a single target. it's like they got one set and once they are gone, that's it.

I think you may be right about that. I've pretty much resorted to eBay when it comes to the newer stuff. I was successful in getting one Atmospheric Diving figure from there the other day. Though I also unfortunately got outbid at the last minute for a Gold Mark 1 and Blue Iron Monger.

Would be cool if you could see Tony's body inside the armor. In fact the way you can't see him makes the armor make no sense at all.

Wow, if this ever comes out in Canada I'll pick it up for sure. Nice hands on that one, and having transparent plastic makes it even nicer. :D

Can anyone tell me if the limbs of the IM movie figures can be detached without cracking the body open?

I guess the lower legs and lower arms can be boiled, but I'm interested in the shoulder and thigh sockets.

I want to replace the red parts from the Captain america armor by Mk2 parts. :p

Are you looking for Stealth Operations right now? Because it came out ages ago, when the Iron Man line first premiered and even before most places had anyone else on the shelves, and disappeared promptly. You're simply not going to find it anymore.

Pardon the pun, but Inferno is hot! I've got a long-delayed trip to Target coming up, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for newer IM stuff. Locally, neither Kmart nor Wal-Mart are going beyond Stealth Striker's wave.

After reading Dark avengers #1 i kinda want all forms of Iron Man armour so i can recreate the part where Osborn breaks in Tony Starks Vault.

I love seeing all the different IM armours in one place.

I've never really tried it. Why not just paint it? It's less risky and not that difficult.

One day when I have the space, I will set up my Iron Men just like that. One day, because I do need a hell of a lot of space. 150 slots to be exact, not including busts, statues, and the all-mighty helmet.

If that Inferno Armor were a dark smoked blue-ish grey and black with the red hghlights here and there, it would make a fantastic take on the Stealth armor. As it is it's sort of an odd choice aesthetcally...Not a bad looking figure, but just...not what I would expect in an Iron Man armor.
