What an outstanding kitbash! It's really fresh to see non-transformers molds used for this! The paintjob is really nice too! A++++ for the idea and the execution! iDD
Man Wm!!...When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a digi at first...but once I came inside... WHOA!!.... Flat out amazing man. Absolutely perfect. Your work always blows me away....Top shelf bud!!!
Superb work. That mold works incredibly well as a pre-earth Autobot, and Sideswipe was the ideal choice. Excellent idea and flawless execution.
you're gonna make a bundle on ebay. 265+ views in the first day and 3 bids looks very promising. Grats in advance!
Thanks for all the nice compliments guys. When I get to the end of a project I always second guess my work and wasn`t sure if he came out right. One thing I don`t like are the thighs and knees. Also, I noticed during painting that the density of the SW/TF plastic seemed slightly different than a typical TF. It`s more rubber-like than plastic and not as hard. Almost like those mass produced Gundams that were sold a few years ago. If he sells at all I`ll be happy. He doesn`t have to sell for alot, but that would be cool too. I like creating and hardly keep anything I make for myself. The thing I like about auctions is that people buy to what fits thier budget. You don`t have to buy an item at a set price for something. Unless you don`t have a choice with a buy it now option. People will pay for what they think it`s worth. Plus, I never know what to charge for custom work anyway. I saw how much your Magnus/Ultra Magnus went for . Good job man. You deserved it.
thanks! and good point. It is unfortunate that auctions will always go to the highest bidder, rather than the biggest fan, but also, in a way, this is the same principle that makes collectables highly desired. Mass production / cheap prices + collectible = no such thing. So in a way, it's nice to know someone who takes their collection seriously (enough to put a hole in their wallet for a plastic toy) must really appreciate and have a lot of passion for their collection(s).
That's just plain brilliant. The mold fits perfectly, and looks great without wings. And the paintwork is fantastic. Love the little thrusters on the back.
That guy's pretty sweet! Excellent concept, and what a brilliant use of an existing (and completely different) mold! He looks VERY cool!
I love this piece, and I havn't even seen the War Within comics! It's just a brilliant looking transformer and a great use of SWTF. Actually, I think the SWTF have alot of potential once you ignore their roots! I''m actually surprised no one has tried turning Tiin's Jedi Starfighter into G! Scourge...I'm still trying to figure that one out for myself...
