Looking at the head, you can see that it probably has light piping. That'll be a nice little bonus. I actually really like the colors on this guy. The fact that they won't all be green doesn't bother me one bit. I think they'll look more interesting with all the different colors going on in gestalt-mode than if they were all the same color. That and it makes them less obvious of a team when in alt-mode. It'll also give Hasbro the chance to make a G1 inspired repaint, though at $100 for the whole set, I'm not so sure they'd risk a repaint bombing at retail, but at the same time it could help recoup some cost on the set. I'm still pretty sure this guy will have his own bot-mode. Just not sure exactly what it'll look like. Though I do have a couple decent guesses at where certain things will go.
It was mentioned in this thread: Price Point for two Combiner Listings. Apparently someone who works for Target checked the systems after the DPCI's leaked and found that eache was two different prices. One being $29.99 (obviously the repackaged Energon Combiners at that price) and the other being $99.99 (seriously, Devastator is the only thing it could be).
My feeling is that there will be robot/vehicle/devy part for each one. I think that this is a test color. Remember Seibertron" red Bulkhead? This is what I am thinking. 1 leader mold- torso/ upper arms 2 voyager molds- legs 2 basic molds- lower arms 1 scout mold- head This would make roughly $110. Save some by buying it together rather than seperate.
Geez. There's a freaking walkway on it like one of these These things are going to be massive. Bigger than anything in the first movie. And then they combine?!?! hooolllyyyyy cccrrraaappp. No wonder Optimus gets trashed.
I think it would be neat if the the vehicles were all seperate robots but would not be extremely dissapointed if they are not. It would just be a single large robot who uses multiple vehicles for his transformation, rather than multiple robots combining. I dont think it's too horrible of an idea in my opinion.
Then it would be so easy to take a limb out. I mean, how can a bulldozer or a dump truck fight off 3 robots ripping it apart?
well, that being devastator's head rather than the individual robots head certainly fits in with what we heard about devastator looking like a gorilla.. it certainly has a gorilla nose at least
