    Found this on taobao:

I wonder if this is an exclusive, or coincides with the Voyagers boxed in robot mode? Reminds me of the TF Movie Allspark Powered Deluxe repaints that were Target exclusives.

Update: translation of the auction title suggests that this is a limited edition version, though there's absolutely no other information about it.

Cool! I agree, I think it might have something to do with the voyager re-packs we heard about earlier.

Don't like it. Too much plastic. Should be more cardboard. A pain to get out. Plus more plastic crap into the landfills. I would prefer to get them in a tiny cardboard box to save on packaging and space.

Now for the Anti-Hippy Response. I like it. Easier to get back INTO the package than a carded one.

How is that easier to open? At least with cardboard, you can rip it open without a pair of scissors.

No need to fabricate something merely to be contrary (or to work "anti-hippy" into a post).

i love the packaging. it is very styling to see on the shelves and catches the eye in my opinion. though, nothing beats the classic -ripping open a figure with a cardboard back to it.

I didn't say easier to open. I said easier to get back into the package.

I really hope there is nothing different cause I need a reason to pass on this. I like the tubeformers way too much. Lets hope they atleast limit it to about 4 of them so my pocketbook doesn't take too much of a hit.

Ah, oops. I suppose I should read a bit more carefully, but of course I was a bit blinded with annoyance by the "anti-hippy" label for a comment that was being considerate.

I don't like tubes. Takes up more space on the store shelf and makes it harder for the customer to sort through to find the one they want. The cardboard and peg system was working. I hope these are just a small limited release if there is nothing new to them.

    Hm...I don't know.

On one hand it does look very sharp and clean...

On the other, it doesn't stack well on pegs and I don't see any of the art associated with TFs.

I can't imagine it would be cheaper to use plastic on the whole box...

No ones mentioned the fact he's in bot mode, I don't think I've seen any ani-figures in bot mode packaging.

Isn't the plastic recyclable? I always chuck mine in the recycling bin. Hope I'm not pissing the recycling people off! :confused2

But... other than "Now with more plastic action" what's different? My 20 month old loves this character and another deluxe for her to destroy wouldn't be so bad but if there are significant differences she would notice and I couldn't give it to her...

Also he looks like a zombie in this packaging.

It will take alot of popcorn to pack that up. I hope there are only 4 of them again.

It does look kind of hungry for BRAAAAINS.

They should tint that plastic GREEN for the hippies.

    also...... poop.

Thats actually pretty sweet. I also have a quick question that anybody can respond to if they like. Do you keep the packaging? Ive been "torn up" about it for a while...
