Why are we relying on someone over in 4Chan where that site allows jackpipes to condesend others that go there?

At the risk of sounding like a monologuing Keanu Reaves...whoa!
I didn't get any of the 07 movie Primes. The Leader class just looked too blocky and squat, and the Voyager was too small and I really didn't like the huge backpack kibble. But this Prime looks STUNNING! Looks much more like the actual CGI model and has a more dynamic "feel" to its lines and sculpt.
    I'm so gonna buy that.

I tried to ask my Hasbro friend about the new movie line. He doesn't work for Hasbro, he is a free lance person who was enlisted by Hasbro to work on making prototypes for this movie line of TF's. I had asked him that as a collector I am more interested in accuracy instead of lights, sound, automorph, etc. because it interupts the design and creates more kibble. He then told me that he can not talk about the new figures at all but I will most likely be disappointed with the new figures. I wasn't expecting Prime to look this good.

To answer your question about a new Starscream...I don't know, but we can only hope that Hasbro listened to us fans. I try to keep in mind that companies are trying to keep costs down so it is hard to say that the characters from the previous film will get their makeovers. At least this Prime figure is very nice, and obviously Megatron will be a nice figure to seeing as how he has a new body that is more accomodating to have a cool figure counterpart.

If you guys wanna nitpick this thing then here's another:

his smokestacks in both modes are backwards. The sloped tops should be this way:

back of robot or truck<----/l---->front of robot or truck
    ....................................l l
    ....................................l l
....................................l l.....<-correct facing of sloped-top smokestacks, with highest sloped part facing forward, and sloping back behind itself.

Also, his parts of his toes and those 2 shoulder-post thingies next to each smokestack should be GRAY like the rest of him, not red.

I have a feeling we may get a Premium edition for all those who like extra detailing.

Erm, hard to tell with so few angles of the toy, but it doesn't look like the smokestacks are sloped at all. They look to be cut off straight, just like the original Leader Prime's.

I have saved the original image and made it a background... sadly, my wife said she'd kill me if I wasted money on any movie toys, but this looks absolutely fantastic!

AFAIK a big part of the reason they chose a 379, was because they wanted/needed the biggest truck there was so as to make Prime big without mass shifting (much). They didn't so much choose it, as tell the guy "get the biggest truck there is, whatever make and model that happens to be".

Though choosing just about the biggest fighter jet ever for Starscream didn't help things much. (but of course, even the relatively tiny F-5 still dwarfs a truck)

    amazing transformation

Its amazing what a little effort on the toymakers part can do. This might be the first toy I buy in years ! its that good.

This is just such an amazing sculpt. Finally we get a toy that matches the complexity of the movie design.

I don't care if the transformation is at "masterpeice" level, I want this.

I hope this marks a new era of transformers. I LOVE the movie's complex designs ! i
I don't care if every toy they build from now on is just as difficult to transform as MP megatron... if they can get them to go from vehicle to highly complex robot .. i'm game !

I thought they said the marketing would star, all we've seen so far in about a month is a new teaser poster and nothing else (officially).
