Looks nice, overall I prefer the Universe version though, not a fan of the yellow stipe on the hood.

Hmm, I think this is going to be my first Henkei figure. Now if only I could get some comparisons of Henkei Ravage and Universe Ravage...

comparison pics, awesome.. thanks for sharing.. personally, im gonna say i like the henkei version better (after seeing the comparisons) the yellow strip on the hood looks cool, and the chrome is perfect imo... nothing i really dont like.. both ravage's look nearly identical, from those pics

Nice comparison pictures you have there, DAVIDUGLY. Thanks for posting.
Henkei Hound looks so much nicer than the Universe one.

BTW, are you known as UGLYONGER on another forum?

How well does the missile/gun fit on Hound's shoulder? My TFU version is a little loose.

I don't know why they didn't put any chrome bits on him. The most obvious choice for chrome would've been the missile on his weapon. Then maybe his grill.

Anyways, I still want this version. It looks great!

Don't have Henkei myself, but I'm pretty sure the front brush guard is chromed.

Wow, the grill is chromed? Must be the lighting, then. Because none of those pics show any sort of reflection on the grill. It looks like gun-metal gray or something. And the weapon itself would've been unnecessary, but the actual missile being chrome would've been great.

Does anyone know if online shops' preorders for these have started coming in yet?

It appears the chrome is tinted a darker shade.

I don't know exactly how the vac-metal process works, but it seems to be an all-or-nothing when applied to a three-dimensional shape, so Hound's cannon would have to either be unchromed or completely chromed (then maybe the green part painted over or tinted.)

I have both, and I have to say that my Hasbro Hound looks positively tatty compared to the Henkei version. The darker plastic on Henkei Hound makes it look a lot less cheap, and the detailing around the Autobot logo is also very well done (the Hasbro Hound's symbol is damaged on the lower right hand side).

One thing I did prefer on the Classics version was the lighter thighs - the dark grey looks much worse, so I swapped them over. The greater contrast really brings out the detail and makes Henkei Hound even better.

Also, Ravage's G1 rockets fit his new body perfectly. He has to be the best tape-former to date, though I still think the original line-up (Frenzy/Rumble and Lazerbeak/Buzzaw) are pretty damn fantastic. I hope they tackle more of them in Classics/Henkei.

    All in - Win!

I love this toy. Everything about it just looks better than the Universe edition. The darker green makes it look like a real jeep instead of a hot wheels toy. The yellow stripe is much less bright in person and accents the green rather well. My favorite part of this toy is Ravage, though. He's just awesome on so many levels.

I did have a couple QC problems with mine, though. Hound's right hand and one of ravage's hips would not rotate all the way. After I shaved a tiny bit of plastic off both joints they worked fine, so no big deal.

Overall this figure is a definite A. It's not an A+ just because I don't like the feet too well. They look a little like boots that are way too big, but it's not a very big deal and they make him a very stable toy.

Same here. Its the only thing that I didn't like about this toy. Even if its little on the small side but best mold so far IMHO. Goes well with Mirage.
