Well you know, if you look very, very closely, you can see where a part of Jetfire's altmode sticks up behind Prime's head.

So Jetfire is just a giant rocket pack? Not really as intricate a combination as I'd hope for. Was expecting at least some extra armor. But hey! Now if I don't like Jetfire's full scale toy I can just buy the legends!
I could see Prime wandering on an airfield. Accidentally tripping and falling on Jetfire. "Oops, My bad"
are we sure that is the combination? because it looks to me that it is just optimus prime's arms upper arms removed and replaced with jetfire's with a jet at it's back. but heck... at least it's not armor lol!

Gads I hope it's just experimenting. If it isn't, and it's official, then I already feel a little empty inside. Why bother even giving Jetfire a personality if he's only going to be a huge backpack for Prime? Hell, just give Prime the flying ability so we can actually have some fleshed-out characters rather than Energon Pt. 2.
Well, all I can say is that I'm glad Legends Prime is actually looking like Prime this time. The first movie's Legends Prime had to be my least favorite legends mold and resembled Prime in his robot mode like 0%. AND these pics apparently have him mistransformed.
I think y'all should be worrying less about the toy and more about the fact that if this combination is true and is faithful to the movie, there's going to be a robot that turns into an eighteen wheeler truck wearing a freaking commercial jet like a backpack.
While I don't know anything about the movie for sure, it could just be that he attaches to the underbelly of Jetfire to be transported by air.
