Not sure I'm following you on this one, unless there's an actual character named PREceptor. As far as I remember PERceptor is mostly red and turquoise with a bit of Black but almost every bot has black on him.

This thing is poised for being called Perceptor with the dark blue being in place of the turquoise. It's the only way I can justify him on my classics shelf too. I would like to see his full range of articulation before I buy him. I personally think he would have been better as Roadbuster(obviously this wont happen now) or Hardhead. As it is now if he does become my classics Perceptor he'll need a more toon accurate head

I'm liking it, might well call it perceptor as some others have said, I'll wait until I see a bot mode to make my mind up on that.

I reall don't get all the calls for double dealer in this topic, double dealer was a triple changer, 3 modes, bird, bot and truck, CD red alert has only 2 modes bot and truck so to me makes a poor double dealer. I mean its almost as bad as taking some random helicoptor bot throwing green paint at it and calling it springer... on bugger.

 

Or Headmaster characters without a removable head.
Or combiner team leaders with no ability to combine.
Or Micromasters who are not small.

 

Or GIANT MINICONS!

Countdown, eh? I like it, I like it alot! As much as I'd like to call it Perceptor (the CD Red Alert legend was redecoed as him in Classics 1.0), We've got Animated Perceptor, plus I like Micromaster homages.

 

They could also use that mold for MEGA-OCTANE. Gee, I wonder why....

I was thinking that; it would be a major improvement over the original.

 

Repaints are just about the only thing I can find these days. They have been good but I am starting to get scared that the last waves of Animated and Classics are not going to make it here.

Its funny because in some ways the biggest incentive for me to buy the repaints is because its too much work unpacking my stored Transformers to find the originals.

 

Nice now give me a Groundshaker to go with it so they can dupe bigdaddy.
