"I send this message to any surviving Autobots hiding among the stars- We are here... we are waiting..."
[Hobbits are trekking across country following Aragorn. Aragorn glances back and sees them unpacking] Aragorn: Gentlemen! We do not stop til nightfall. Pippin: What about breakfast? Aragorn: You've already had it. Pippin: Well that one, yes. What about second breakfast? [Aragorn turns around and keeps walking] Merry: I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip. Pippin: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner?? Supper??? He knows about them, doesn't he?? Merry: I wouldn't count on it. And this one, from Bilbo (also in the book): "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
Andy: Everyone and their mums is packin' round here! Nicholas: Like who? Andy: Farmers. Nicholas: Who else? Andy: Farmers' mums.
I can't quote it because...well, it's Miranda Otto singing an incredibly powerful lament in Anglo-Saxon. But it is one of my most favorite pieces. http://home.agh.edu.pl/~evermind/muzyka1/e_dirge.mp3
[Merry sits down at the table with a gigantic mug of beer] Pippin: What’s that? Merry: This my friend, is a pint. Pippin: It comes in pints?!
"I've got news for you, pal, you ain't but leading two things right now, Jack and Shit....and Jack left town" -Ash Army of Darkness I use that quote almost daily.
Ha...very close to mine...there maybe other Predator quotes in here but I'm not reading through eleven pages to find out... Great movie by the way... here is mine... "There's something out there waiting for us...and it ain't no man."..."We're all gonna die"... - Billy...
"There's this beautiful girl just fucked me forty ways from Sunday... we're done, she's walking to the bathroom, she's trying to walk, she turns... she looks... it's me. Not the Trojan army just fucked her. Little ol' me. She gets this look on her face like: "How the hell did that happen?" - Al Pacino 'The Devil's Advocate'.
I'm watching BW "Chain of Command" right now, and it reminded me of this quote: "You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with til you understand who's in ruttin' charge here." (--Jayne to Wash, Firefly episode 3 "The Train Job")
Stuart Mackenzie: Well, it's a well known fact, Sunny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentaveret, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows. Tony Giardino: So who's in this Pentaveret? Stuart Mackenzie: The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eye! And that smug look on his face, "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!" Charlie Mackenzie: Dad, how can you hate "The Colonel"? Stuart Mackenzie: Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes ya crave it fortnightly, smartass! -So I Married an Axe Murderer
The one quote I like the most. It's like in the great stories Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end it's only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it'll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why. But I think Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something. Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam? Sam: That there's some good in the world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.
"Your breath smells like dead bunnies!" -Ralph Wiggum "Ima firin' ma lazur!"- Laserface "There's a line line between being a hero, and being a memory." -Optimus Prime "First we crack the shell, then we crack the nuts inside!"- whoever the blue casseticon is. Frenzy, right? "Save me Oprah Winfrey! Save me Tom Cruise!"- Ricky Bobby
"Pine? Men don't pine, women pine. Guys...suffer." "It's lots of fun, I did it as a boy" "I don't care what you did as a boy." "Well I did nothing as a girl, so there goes my childhood." -Gay Divorcee "Hahahahaaaason of a bitch..." -Raiders "What is this strange power you have over horses?" "...Horsepower" -Top Hat "A boy's best friend is his mother" -Psycho
"Disturbing The Peace? I got thrown out of a f****** window! tell me, what do you get charged with for being thrown out of a moving car, jay walking? " -Axel Foley I love that line
"Why do you wear that stupid bunny suit? Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?" -Donnie Darko. " I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries." -Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of old and evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
