HLJ has the pages up, although it will not be available for preorder until December 31st. It will come in two schemes like Convoy. Megatron will have a silver version and a blue version. Search Results
I love it, and will most definatly be buying it. And I'll take those swords over the fusion cannon anyday.
After looking at it, I suspect that the torso wheels will fold up somehow to allow the shoulders to come forward, and that those wheels on the sides of the legs can fold up to form the side hip armor; Two things that might improve the look of the figure.
On a related note, what the hell is a fusion cannon anyway? Does it shoot heavy water? Or plamsa (plasma cannon?) Some sort of fictional energy based on colliding nuclei?
Too wussy for a Megatron. Perhaps nod to animated with the dual katana? It shoots a beam of highly concentrated energy. Basically the Spartan Laser from Halo 3, but bigger and attached to a 20 ft tall robot.
No gun? Two swords? Definitely odd. Maybe the Alternity line is a Pirate theme?... for robots?... that turn into new cars??? Eh... yeah I ain't buyin' it. Give us a damn arm cannon.
That actually looks pretty cool, as does the Prime one too. I think he may still come with the fusion cannon, and that it's just not in these pictures. I'm actually kinda hoping these come over here at some point. Would be pretty easy to put them into the RotF toy line as store exclusives or something. Would also be kinda cool to see this mold kitbashed into Prowl, Silverstreak, and Smokescreen (especially Prowl). You just know someone's going to do at least one of those eventually.
Meh...I ain't missing nothing with this line.... They should have done a Megs in the Alt line....if they would have made him into that Cadillac XLR, that would have been sweet....along with a proper Optimus Prime.... ah well....
He doesn't look all that different from the Prime one except for the Megatron head. Pass. Also, are all of the Alternity line going to be Nissans? I'm just curious.
They turned Binaltech into this? Transformers aren't about quality anymore! At one point the Transformer line was loved for the originality not only of the characters bios or the different vehicles but also the transformation process, but making all the bots the same looking isnt good. Binaltech had a great start but fizzled out in the end. Why put energy into this terrible line after cutting a great line like Binaltech? I dont understand them, I think its about greed and my interest in Transformers has never been lower. I am going back to Gundam!
No arguing here. But the UT guys wheren't G1 Megatron either and they did fine. I see however the deal with being promised a cannon in the proof art and getting a photo of a thing with swords. We'll see when proper pics hit of what's included in the set. Toys having problem selling on both sides of the ocean. Probably saturation too maybe? They where all cars. Anyway, these are smaller than Binaltech and filled with Automorph gimmicks. The answer I think is the Movie line. Real vehicles + transformation gimmicks + collector interest. Kindof like how Classics/Universe now functions.
Well he does seem to have arm cannons like prime does. I'm actually hoping that Prime comes with some kind of melee weapon like swords, an axe or something along those lines. I'm also hopeful that there may be a better arm cannon that comes with megs and hopefully a 'prime gun' from Prime. I actually would love to see a few more accessories come with these guys to help me justify the $50 tag I am kind of disappointed in the sort of long head on this megs proto and the wheels on his chest, hopefully mistransformed
The fusion cannon is needed for this to be even remotley passable as a Megatron. Give me that red convoy GTR, I like the ex-Skyline kind of car better anyways and I can get my Nissan "Z" type car fix off of Universe 2.0 Smokescreen.
So its not a Megatron, but those swords look good. =/ I'm more sold on that silver Prime that was shown instead of this. I'll wait for an xB or an xD though, as the Scion line IMO is an epic win...if they're just into making sports cars though, the tC would be nice...
