YAY! MORE screentime of giant robot on giant robot action!  

 

The longer the better as far as I'm concerned.  

 

I was excited until I read the "probably."

Regardless, I have a feeling this will kick the first movie's ass.

 

yeah alot of first movie kicking ass will be going on so excited to see this movie!!!

 

I think the probably means something like "planned to be longer but who knows what happens in the editing room"

Because who knows what might happen in editing / post production?

 

Let's hope the length is not becoz of more humans......... >.<

 

To be honest I really hope it isn't, I actually thought the first movie had pacing problems and was far too long which was one of the few complaints I had. Movies like this should really be no more then 2 hours long tops, and more often then not they end up dragging if they go beyond this. Good recent example of this was Dark Knight because like the first TF movie it just seemed to drag and by the last 15-20 minutes of the movie my brain was pretty much mush.

 

the probably statement makes me think that it will only be a little bit longer than the first. The first should have been 2.5 - 3 hours imo to get the intros right and develop characters, since they didnt do that im hoping this time we'll be able to do that

 

cool, at least it will be worth the money (i hope) maybe they signed up a deal with the popcorn company, say we have a longer movie -> you need more popcorn and iced tea to go tru it  

 

Indeed, Orci felt the first movie was too long (but also dreamt he could have had written a three hour movie for the sake of Decepticon screentime). IMO, the first movie was just fine.

 

Agree 100%. The benchmark for overly long films with a "Oh get on with it!" factor? IMO, PotC: At World's End

 

if this movie is longer than the first this will be enough to make any fan (including me self) happy.
it makes sense in a way considering more robots+dialogue+battles+explosions+babes+showing off cars+starscream galore+constructicons+soundwave.. am i missing anything?

For me, i was like "I thought this was a Transformers movie?" then at the end of the movie, autobots were fighting decepticons and then i finnaly felt i was in the right theater

 

Sounds good to me. A longer overall movie has potential for even more bot action than I was already expecting. It could end up being too long, and thus dull, but I have faith in the people making the movie to make it enjoyable to watch at the very least.

 

If the movie was an entire day long, I'd stay for it.

Hell, I watch Jack Bauer for 24 hours, why not Optimus Prime?

 

Hey, im all up for more screen-time and imho, 2.5 hrs should jsut about be right.

the first movie was better than pretty much all of g1 including the movie combined so...


anyways, the dark knight should have been longer, they didnt get a chance to develop two face
