wow its like a 50/50 split on him i like him and love that mold. now we all know that the final retail pics could very from this as we know hasbro love to mess with us and photoshop the pics. Ill buy it as i love this line and all the new molds have great repaint come out of them so far.

Oh lets hope repolables can hook us up with some killer upgrade stickers to finish him off.

Pity, Smokescreen was my first real TF, and I've always been partial to that colour scheme. This looks really bloody lazy.

I'm pinning all my hopes on the Henkei version now.

 

I think I'll be swapping parts between ol' Smokey, and Prowl. He'll look better in person.

Swap thighs, and missiles... not sure about the shoulders yet. I'd have to move my Reprolables stickers over. Yellow wing... not sure if that will stay.

the prowl mould really isnt getting treated well, he always looks cheap no matter what they do with him.

look it this way for prowl bluestreak and smokescreen they are tecnically staying true to the original toyline when it comes to those three more or less sharing the same figure mold

to me its just one more way that hasbro is modeling the classics universe toyline after the original g1 line

 

Spoiler should be red, arms should be black, and the yellow should be darker goldish. It's not really that bad. Not sure why everyone expects a 99% salute to G1 every fig.

The mold, despite this being it's 3rd use, is still really great.

 

it's not that. If they want to change things they should change them for the better. The changes they made here just make it gaudier.

 

because it looks like they tried to do a 99% salute to the G1 figure, but got some wires or paint dyes confused in the process... I almost wish they'd made this guy "Alternators Series" and did the deco as an Homage to Alt Smokey ~ i think that more solid deco would have worked nicely on this mold. Maybe that'll show up as an exclusive @ some point. Still would love to have gotten a new 'collared' headsculpt too...

it's amazing how color can change an impression, the darker tones look great, while the toy in the lighter tones is not so hot...hopefully the toy will be as dark as the second set of images. either way, i love it and am glad i preordered..  

 

My thoughts also, Hasbro royally f'ed up this time around, shoulders/hands need to be blue, launchers need to be white, forearms need to be black spoiler needs to be red etc etc.

Gonna have to be Henkai or painting/switching parts done to even have a chance of the sucker looking right.

Which is lame cause in Alt we got a great Streak and Screen while Prowl was f'ed over so i was kinda hopeing they'd get things right this time around.
