Hmm...I don't like it that much. The head crest should be black, and all that red is just really killing it for me. Of course it may just be the white background...
How bizarre. I actually just watched that episode today. Am I the only one who thinks the crest on the head looks too large? Makes it look like a hastily done kitbash. Looking back at the old grey-only pics, it doesn't appear to have changed sizes since, but instead the grey helped it blend a little better. Just looks...I dunno, goofy to me, to the point where I'm considering canceling my BBTS preorder and just buying a potential TFU incarnation for much cheaper.
Hmm. I was thrown off a little by the fact that his forehead crest is red. Mind you, that's easily taken care with a few paint apps so it's not really a problem for me. The prototype version showed his gun so I'll be honestly surprised (and ticked off) if it doesn't come with that. I'm also somewhat suspicious in that the color scheme looks more like something out of Universe rather than Henkei. Makes me wonder. Strangely, one of the things I love about this figure is the fact that his lightbar is the blue version of Prowl's lightbar. The uniformity just makes me grin. Ultimately though, I'm glad I preordered this guy and can't wait for him to join my collection. January 22nd can't come fast enough.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the Universe version as well. Either way, it's underwhelming. I was hoping for some EMS details & decals on the hood & doors.
Wow that's...bland as heck (because you can't be bland and be "...as hell"). No Red cross? Or Snakes with Wings? Or Even that lameass pulsey thing? Is that even supposed to be an ambulance, or has Ratchet become a Candy Striper? Or maybe that's the Ghost of Ratchet. Gah. Buh. Blah. That is all.
whtie head, red crest, well, at least it's not a red head white crest. I can always repaint the head crest to silver with ease, as opposed to trying to redo his entire head. So good enough. I'm sold!
I hope that red on his head doesn't stay like that. There is supposed to be a break in the middle so it looks like two red horns, rather than one unibrow one. And he doesn't really look white in car mode. He looks like ivory colored plastic. Other than that, he looks great!
UNIVERSE. Clearly. I'm positive the Takara version will have a G1 accurate color scheme. Also, did no one notice that the Henkei prototype shown a few months back at probably the Tokyo Toy Show had a different light bar? It was more similar to Henkei Prowl's, whereas this is clearly the same light bar mold as Universe Prowl.
where did he have 2 red horns? In the cartoon he had one silver/black crest and in the comic it was white.
