I added that because I have been wrong in the past. The more I think about it, and the more I look at the photos, the more I think this is probably Hasbro's version of him. If we could see the weapon we'd know for certain. If it is indeed the Hasbro one, I'm happy with it, and definitelly plan to buy him once he's released.
I agree on this probably being the hasbro version. I don't think it's bad, i just don't like the red splotches. I think he should just have the little red crosses on his shoulder pads.
Watch as this version will be "UGLY" and "SUCK" when it turns out to be the Hasbro version and the Henkai has the useless chrome, is mostly white, and the crest is grey.
Damn, I was hoping the head would be red with a white crest. Pretty cool, though. I can always repaint the head, though.

hasbro or takara..... WHO CARES??? I pre-ordered mine when he was just a grey prototype. Cant wait for Jan 09 to come.
I'm going to guess that it's the Henkei version because Hasbro's not going to release a Universe Ratchet until well after the Animated one leaves stores, which might not be for awhile, especially with that yellow repaint about to be released. So, I doubt there'd be a picture of a fully painted Universe Ratchet out just yet. I could be wrong, of course. Either way, I have the Henkei version pre-ordered since I don't want to wait for the Universe one.
Ratchet looks great. But he suffering from that, "looking down syndrome" similar to Ironhide, but I hope Hasbro has this in mind and eventually see what they came up with. When they decide to release it. But still he'll be on my list.
This does not look good IMO. Sorry to all the people that have instantly liked it but the stripes are just out of place and the and the red bumper is ridiculous. I pre-ordered Henkei cuz Hasbro hasn't annouced theirs, I hope this is the unannounced Hasbro one or I'll be taking my paintbrush to this guy and some rubbing alcohol to the weird red stripes

Maybe the lack of chrome is down to it being a prototype - they'll find something to chrome, even if it is just a weapon.
Because Ironhide has a red head too and the toon always had a white head Doubt they would chrome such a small thing as the grill, the bumper/brushguard would be nice The more I look at it the more I have to think it's at least an early mock up if not just the Hasbro version. The digi you made is EXACTLY what Ratchet should look like This also makes sense based on what Hasbro stated with the non-competing figures for different toy lines AND the fact that TFA Ratchet is warming more shelves than Black Arachnia
