Bruins played a decent game tonight outside of some poor defense early. Losing in the shootout stings a bit but it's the shootout which is always a dicey proposition. I like what I'm seeing with the team, looks like they're starting to gel. I don't think they'll seriously contend for the cup this year but I think they can make it out of the first round at least. Too early to really tell though.

That is very sad. We just had Luc Bourdon pass last year who was young, my condolences to the family.

The Sharks got another win. First time they are 4-0 to start a season in franchise history. Cheechoo looks to be regaining form as well.

Those sure are some great seats!

Did you "accidentally" throw your beer at Gomez when he was passing by? Just kidding… :D

Habs beat the Bruins 4-3 in shoot-out.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Cherepanov. :(

I was praying for Bobby Holik to run him hard that night. Not hard enough to cause serious injury, just enough to take him out for the game :lol

That, or have Holik pull a "Sean Avery" on Lundqvist.

Must be a wake up call or something, I dunno.

I just hope the 'Hawks can field a playoff team this year. I have nothing but respect for the organization, and they need to regain some of their former glory.

This thread sure isn't lively :lol

The Habs got another win tonight, not a great game, but a win is a win! And the captain is on fire :D  Pretty good start from the "2nd" line as a whole in fact, the best so far :)

So, we're what? 2 weeks into the season?

The Devils two big free agent signings this summer, Brian Rolston and Bobby Holik. Rolston's out with a sprained ankle, with no set timetable for his return, and Bobby Holik broke his pinky in the game against the Craps, and will be out 3-4 weeks.

*sigh* It's going to be a long season...

Saw a clip of that on either Sportscenter or the all NHL one they have on the NHL network...real classy fan there.

Went to the Bruins/Thrashers game last week and it was a good time. Seeing Lucic score his first hat trick of course helps.

As for the Bruins in general they seem to be getting things together, but have trouble with getting both offense and defense in the same game. Both have been great this season, just not at the same time.

Habs got beaten by the Yucks, er Ducks, last Saturday (forgot the score), beat the Hurricanes in shootout 3-2 on Tuesday, now they're playing against Minnesota Wild tonight.

Come to think of it, they've improved quite a bit ever since they traded Huet to the Caps (or as DevilzFan would say, Craps).

Well, the Devils season ended last night with a 6-1 win over the Thrashers.

And by season ended, I mean Broduer is injured. I was at the game, saw Marty go down and struggle to get back up while play was continuing on to the other side of the ice.

    :(

Well, the Bruins crushed the Stars last night, certainly wasn't expecting that. Also, always good to see Avery take a few punches to the face.

I was watching my Panthers getting beat by a losing team like the Thrashers.

The Panthers still have problems and they have the worse powerplay in the league. If they don't make the playoffs this season, than I will not subscribe to Center Ice next year. That is the only reason why I have Center Ice is to watch the Panthers. We have FSN Florida here and they don't show the Panthers in the Florida panhandle anymore. We only get the Lightning games.

Maybe he went down because he still had snow in his eye from that Leafs loss the other night ;)

In all seriousness though, I really enjoyed that game our teams played. Not the sort of game you expect to see out of the Devils, OR this years Toronto Maple Leafs.

Hopefully Brodeur isn't out for too long. I really want to see him get his record this season.

We're really enjoying the play of Van Ryn this season in Toronto. How's McCabe panning out for you guys?

Ouch, major blow for the Devils! Brodeur is out for 3 to 4 months. Patrick Roy will have to wait a little longer to see his record broken. Speaking of which, I'm going to go see the Canadiens when they'll retire #33, later this month. Can't wait!

Yeah, season's over for the Devils. They weren't all that stellar to start the year WITH Brodeur. Without him, they're screwed.

Shame for Marty. Hopefully he'll be back with enough time to secure his place in goaltending history.
