Hound I'm guessing will have Ravage's legs chromed like the G1 original, maybe also the point of his gun.

Cheetor is anyone's guess. Chrome kneecaps? Maybe it will be his throwing stars.

 

I'd say his throwing stars will most likely to be chromed. Of course, they could go all Transmetal on him with his blue parts, but I'd think that would get in the way of his transformation.

 

How the hell is Cheetor gonna fit with the Cybertrons and Destrons of G1? If the answer is time travel...I won't be surprised, unless Cheetor is an Autobot that JUST HAPPENS to have a realistic cheetah for an alt mode and has a Maximal symbol just for the hell of it.

 

I think the Titanium (technorganic shell) Cheetor is a much better fit for Classics than the new (organic shell) Universe one.

 

So, does this mean the Henkai versions will hit the market before the anniversary versions?

 

Can't wait for THAT manga.  

There's also the possibility that they won't bother with trying to fit in story-wise at all, and the BW toys either never show up in a manga story, or get their own BW-based manga separate from the G1-related stuff.

I wouldn't rule it out, Robot Masters basically did that.

Also in Japan, there was never a distinction between Autobot or Maximal. Both were Cybertrons. So probably a Cybertron from the future come back in time to help the present day Cybertrons. Probably against Galvatron.

BBTS has the first wave of 10th anniversary slated for December, so it will probably work out around the same time, though in practice it may take a while before things hit stores locally, so the Henkei ones might be more readily available first.

 

Okay. I thought the Anniversary ones were due out next year for some reason.

This is awesome news, Red Leader! I am definitely all out for Henkei Hound, which I will be collecting together with TRU Hound. His mold is a perfect fodder for a Swindle repaint (which I will be doing on the TRU version)

 

take it you'll be making Howlback to go with him (could work well that combo seeing how one is a police officer and the other a crook)

 

I'm actually hoping that they've already got a Swindle remold in the works based on the information that was in the last club magazine. And Howlback would work as a repaint of Ravage I might add...

And then Botcon can give us Detritus with Glit...

 

This is a very, very excellent idea, certainly from a marketing perspective.

On the other hand, maybe we don't want to be encouraging Takara to produce any more balls-formers. We had Heinrad already, and that was quite enough.

I'll get the Hasbro one as well, being a fan of him, but if the Dinobot is more show-accurate it's a must.

 

Well, five bucks says they try to work Cheetas into the Henkei manga and it ends up turning into some sort of Robot Masters clusterfuck.
