What the hell is that garbage I was'nt a fan of animated then I saw the toys and had to have them. But as a fan, jetfire is one of the big boys and thats what they make him two face from batman. Hopefully it's transformed wrong. But personally even if it was wrongly done I still would'nt like it. They put out plenty of two team combiners and that garbage is what you get for jetfire! The only reason I've waited to voice my opinion is, I wanted to stare at the pics and try to comprehend how he can be cool.


P.S. To the crazy animated fan who chew you out if you don't agree with them please don't kill me.

The jet modes are'nt what bothers me its their robot modes. Look at dark wing and smokescreen, or the g1 combiner tapes, and jets (darkwing dreadwind). Those toys were awesome. Only thing the animated guys are good for are to keep in the box. If you're a completist.

 

I completely agree with you, man. These things are just a big insult to TF altogether. I mean, just look at them, they look like Ultraman or something.

BTW the combo mode is possibly the worst combo mode ever in TF.

And besides, they look more like they're from the Brave series.

 

They look more like Kikaider than Ultraman, and Kikaider kicks ass.

I don't care about you not liking Animated, so personally I wouldn't "kill you" over that. The insult against Ultraman is plenty of motive alone.  

 

Seriously, so what? I think expectations were way too high based on the name alone. The problem being, this is Animated, not G1 or Classics or even Unicron trilogy. Jetfire could have ended up being anything. An Elite Guard rookie with a slim form and no kibble whatsoever is certainly not the worst thing we could have gotten.

 

Yeah, I personally like this Jetfire better than his other Japanese-mecha-import incarnations..

 

These are the first animated figs I havent been excited about, they look kinda meh

 

Personally, I like the designs for both characters. I'm not going to judge the toys until I see photos that aren't mistransformed. That kind of thing really can make a whole lot of difference.

 

i liked the look of them in the comic preview pics, but the toys i'm not too keen on yet, ill wait till we see properly transformed pictures to make my final decision.

 

I dig these guys and that is especially true since hearing the news of the bots having hands in both modes and having the "X" shape in combined alt mode. I'm sorry but I've been waiting for something like this to come along in TF for a very long time. Quite a few years back there was a line that had a mixer, crane, firetruck and I forget the other but, they all had a combined 1/2 and 1/2 robot mode which I though was cool. This is very much like that but with better colors. I can't wait for these guys to be released.

 

That would be HyoRyu & EnRyu who combine into ChoRyuJin, and FuRyu & RaiRyu who combine into GekiRyuJin. They can also combine into GenRyuJin & GouRyuJin. They're from The King of Braves: Gaogaigar.

Vangelus did a legendary review of ChoRyuJin awhile back.

 

i think these figures are awsome, especialy the fact that they are mistransformed makes me want them more. ill pick'em up when they come out.

Well ... Im pretty fine with Jetfire and Jetstorm ... even trough I'm kinda dissapointet that Jetstorm is a Autobot, and not a Con.

One thing I have learned from animated: The characters is totally diffrent from many of their previous incarnations.
Lets take Jetfire:
In Armada / Energon, he was a cool veteran soldier.
But in Animated, he seems to be a "teen bot".
Im fine with that because:

Ironhide (G1) tough veteran
Ironhide ( Animated ) Seems to be a young bot.

 

They look like Power Rangers to me. Like KO non-Hasbro related transforming toys. I'm sure the show will make me warm up to them.
