you're rant isn't justified because this is probly the first plot detail we have. all those answers will probably be filled in, you sound as if that little clip was to explain the whole 2 hour movie.

 

I didn't say it explained the movie...did I? I am simply saying that if they are the only 2 who went batty from the cube (Sam..Grandpa) while all those other people (dam workers,government peeps etc) were working on it, near it for way longer then Sam and old fart then it would be a huge plot hole...and that kinda seems a little dopey in my mind....I have still have hope that the movie will be better then the first one...I didn't mind the robots designs or the choice of characters..... I just had problems with the lack luster story and ******ed way it was directed...shaky cam and jump cuts that annoyed me and a lot of other movie goers thats all.

hmm sounds interesting.

the only reason i can think of it happening is from Megatron (since his granddad only had interaction with him) or when barricade put that spikey thing in his face, maybe it scanned him or whatever like megs did to his gramps?

Sam's grandpa or whatever wasn't crazy from the Allspark. He was crazy because Megatron beamed the allspark's information (location?) directly into his brain through his eyes. Saying that the S7 guys would have gotten crazy is also inaccurate as they weren't there when the allspark shall we say, exploded. Sam shoved the darn thing right into Megatron's chest. My bet is that it messed him up but he had enough time to make out with Mikaela on BB and move off to college before it caught up with him.

 

I'll never understand why people drink and then use the internet. It only leads to dumb things being said. Go back and watch the video sober and you will see that none of your post made sense.
Sam is refering to when his gramps touched megatrons finger and got zapped. Nothing to do with the allspark. We have no idea what is causing the effects for sam because we have no idea where this takes place in the movie. Maybe sam just got touched by the fallen or something. Judging a story by hearing a couple of lines of dialouge is just silly. Hell this could get cut from the movie for all we know. Maybe Philly girl is a michael bay plant??

 

More could have. Sam only knows of two currently. And most of the workers did wear decontaminate suits.

There may be more going on here than just allspark radiation though. Archibald was never exposed to the Allspark itself as far as I'm aware.
Only Megatron and the map with his eyes burned out. This was after he had chidlren presumably due to age and limitations afterwards, so that leaves genetics out. The only potential aspect that really fits for now may have something to do with when Sam pushed it into Megatron, since that's an act no other human has performed. So in essence he was exposed to more unless S7 has done concentrated trials before. Or even his holding it while injured, it may have been pouring power into him attempting to 'fix him' as it had others. Not to mention random bursts while running, and more. It has never been that small before to fit in human hands. Nor right after leaving possession of a bot it may have been trying to fix as well.
Then we also don't know if he's been storing the fragment for Prime or not. That'd be a piece that could just leak power.

Any way you look at it, Sam's kinda screwed about it. Then there's also the proximity to cybertronians effect. That exposure in conjunction to allspark radiation, possibly could have made it think 'autobot spike' literally.

All S7 knows about the allspark wasn't spoken, nor were we shown all the experiments with it. We were shown they didn't know how to move it, and used the dam to shield it's radiation. Also that it's been there for awhile.
We know it can change size at command or 'asked,' so assuming at will. It 'evolves' species(megatron chasing it, caused us to create more technology), or grants life to technology. Extremely fits the description of the TMA from 2001 almost.

We won't really find out till more details leak or the movie hits theaters.
Overall, I expect Wheeljack to be handling a lot of flashbacks. So maybe we really will see Jazz again. Just not in the present.

Both, and that's a good theory. It's the only direct connection no one else shares too.
Plus, it would somewhat mirror some of 'Sari's exposure' in animated.
Prime did confiscate them in the first movie so to speak too, and was never shown giving them back.

Maybe his visions are actually making him able to "see/spot" spark/cybertronian lifeforms? Whatever it is, it's something his great-granddad was never able to understand.

I hope there isn't some special bond between Sam and Megs now.
