dude i just got the AT-TE....and i got to say that is ONE HUGE MOTHER F*CKER!!!!!!!!!

:lol  seriously.....it is HUGE!!!!!!!!!! i picked it up to put it into the buggy at wal-mart and that thing weighed a ton :lol  i then grabbed 4 501st clones (wal-mart exclusive) and a captain rex to start my all-blue squad....next payday i am getting more of them suckers...seriously my favorite feature is the rear door...push and hold down a button and two side panels flip down and the back ramp folds down as well.....pretty badass

FYI if your AT-TE leg keep falling off go, to the Clone Wars/AT-TE thread at Rebelscum.com. Someone posted a quick fix using tubing from a hardware store. A better fix than super gluing the legs permanently. :thumbs2:

I hate VOTC Obi Wan. The articulation is crap. Weird cut elbows, nothing in the legs, uggghh.

Then they opt not to use the awesome VOTC luke with some of the best articulation seen on a Star Wars figure.

At least the accessories are cool, and the droids are good too.

Thanks! Looks like I will take the yellow coloured Starfighter then! :)

Ohhh! Thanks for the heads up! Looks like I can save my cash to hunt for Bespin Luke! :D

Yeah! I agree, this new falcon blow the old one out! But man, is this vehicle huge! I'm thinking where I can display it!

I haven't collected Star Wars figures since The Phantom Menace came out but the new Falcon is really tempting. That and the passengers battle pack might be a nice way to get back in. :)

I haven't collected Star Wars in a long time aside from some Galactic Heroes here and there but I saw Clone Wars toys with the stupid 1st Day of issue! stickers on them and totally caved, got that crazy collecting bug at the sight of em.

After hating the movie I kind of regret it haha :(  But I guess they're still cool to have.

I also got the SDCC Commander Gree Mighty Mugg from HTS, and honestly I want to buy the other SW ones at some point. It's just tough for me because I collect so much other crap as it is.

    Huh?

If you're referring to the poster shown several posts up, that's for the Legacy Collection. There IS going to be a new Plo in the Clone Wars line. It looks pretty cool, and has the double-bladed gauntlet lightsaber from the concept art.

Yeah. I keep hoping for them to do a good version of ANH Obi, as that VOTC wasn't it.

I'm definitely going to be passing on the Passengers Battle Pack, as I have tons of versions of those characters. It's nice enough for those who don't, though.

Hey guys. I'm what I consider a passive Star Wars fan. I've seen both trilogys but never really got into collecting the figures too much outside of a few Obi Wans. I'm looking for a good Storm Trooper/ Clone Trooper figure and a General Grievous figure. I tried looking for myself but there was so many different variants and lines it made my head spin. I'd rather have something from the main line but I'm open to the new Clone Wars line if you guys think the figures are good. Any suggestions or a site were I could go to for info??

General Grievous: The definitive one is coming in a few months.

Stormtrooper: The TAC version mentioned above, or wait for the Luke & Han Trooper figures in early 2009

    Clones: Any are good.

Yeah, Captain Rex looks very nice. However, I will only concentrate on OT stuff...if I got into the clones...it will just be movie based characters like Cody and Gree! :D

Thanks for the link and info guys. Quick question, are Commander Gree and Covert Ops Clone Trooper still readily availible at places like TRU?? What about the Utapau Shadow Trooper?? They've all been released in 2008 but I don't know if there exclusives or not.
    Thanks in advance.

I picked up the Fett Legacy set yesterday, as well as Jango with Poncho, so I might as well post a review (I''m in the mood)

    Fett Evolutions

Comprised of three figures: Mandalore (the ancient leader of the Fetts from the KOTOR Era), Jango Fett, and Boba Fett. For ease of reference they all have the same articulation set up - ball jointed head, universal shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles, ball joint esque torso, waist swivel, and forwards and backwards at the hips.

Mandalore: Dealing with the figures in chronological order, the first is Mandalore. Now this particular Mandalore, which is a title of leadership (Boba becomes a Mandalore in the EU stuff) did not actually feature in any of the KOTOR games, but was instead present in the KOTOR Comic Book continuity.

Mandalore is not actually a human, but is instead of the Taung species (looking remarkably like the Predator), which is possibly the reason behind his somewhat odd proportions.

Sculpting is reasonablebut in my opinion slightly falls down in the torso area, under his armoured collar chestplate thing, where it looks a tad messy and bland on mine. Everything is a shade of brown, except for the distinctive Mandalorian T visor, which is orange, and really stands out here. Seeing as everything is roughly the same colour it is difficult to tell whether the paint apps are a little sloppy or whether it was meant to be recreating a 'mottled' effect, but it doesn't look too hideous.

Accessories include a nasty looking axe, a shield that comes attached to his left arm but can be removed as far as I can see, and some kind of sceptre/poking stick type device. The axe in particular looks fantastic, featuring not only nice paint work but also top notch weathering.

Overall, Madalore is in my opinion the weakest of the set in that his head articulation is somewhat limited by his face tubes, and his leg articulation is limited by his plastic skirt front (one wonders whether they could not just have made it out of the same material as his cape for ease?)

    3/5

    Jango Fett

At the point that I decided that I was going to buy this set, I was looking at Jango. I'm not going to bother introducing him seeing as he isn't obscure like Mandalore.

Sculpting is top notch, with the only issues that I've heard are that on some the gun holsters stick too far out to the side, but I seem to have lucked out there. The head sculpt is nice (removable helmet ftw), displaying a neutral/mildly depressed expression. His aroumour plating is well defined, and his gauntlets are well sculpted, being quite distinct and detailed.

The paintwork is the strong point of this figure, especially the armoured sections, which have been given an awesome metallic finish that contrasts beatuifully with the matte finish of his undershirt. There have been reports of scuffed paint on the head (of which the plastic is the same lavendery colour as the underlay shirt, and has been painted), but mine seems to be holding up fine after a days stress.

Accessories are his two blasters, removable helmet, and his jetpack. I'm also going to include his functional holsters here, which kick all kinds of ass.

Overall this is the figure that made the set for me. The shining light. I've always been a Jango enthusiast, so maybe I'm just excited that we've finally got a Jango with some decent articulation that is not stuck in some horrid pose.

    4.3/5

Boba review to be posted when I can be bothered
