    About;
This summer, between August 8th (Friday) ~ August 31st (Sunday), we are to hold the first ever exhibition of "Transformers" themed modern art with the complete co-operation with TakaraTomy Co. Ltd.
"Transformers" is created by a Japanese toy manufacturer, TakaraTomy Co.Ltd (Takara Co.Ltd at that time).
Since its creation in 1984, the toys and the cartoons have been distributed in over 180 countries in the world, and they have sold over 5 hundred million toys. (Transformers) are the most well known form-shifting robots in the world.
Also recently, they expanded their global fanbase after the record success of the live action movie by Dreamworks.

"TransformArt" exhibition is going to feature the must-see creations from the up-and-coming artists who were familiar with the Transformers toys in their childhood.
The location is the art facility , Art Center Ongoing, which has just been opened this spring.
There will also be the exhibition of Transformers toy concept art and the toys themselves in their historic order. Such treasures are provided courtesy of TakaraTomy.
Don't miss this summer's "transforming" art scene!

Exhibiting of art created by the artists who have grown up with Transformers toys and cartoon
Young and capable "Transformers generation" artists explore their individual concept based on Transformers with paintings, visual, graphics, music and installation.

Goddamit, I woulda loved to have seen this.

Better than that one idiot who smashes 'em up and mixes the pieces around. What a jackass.

Not based on the pictures they have up. An upside down couch in front of a TV playing episodes of Transformers? Yikes.

Folks seem to forget that "modern" and "art" put in the same sentence means, pretty much, "crap."

I can't believe I've never seen multiple Transformers set up in a transformation sequence like those Starscreams.

Someone needs to ask for an official statement of the status of the molds they have access to, whats lost/workable etc.

Ask who? The artists? How is this relevant?

Also, anyone complaining that this kind of thing doesn't happen in their area should do something about it. Art exhibitions don't just 'happen', their proposed. rather than just showing artwork online, you can get together and put on a show. Propose it to Hasbro, they might go with it. It's a good idea.

Simply complaining about the lucky Japanese isn't going to make it happen.

Boy, I was kind of hoping for original art interpretations, not bunches of statically posed figures along with pieces using mangled Transformer bodies to create ugly art that has nothing to do with Transformers.

Color me disappointed. Then again, I usually find that for every one piece of modern art that actually I like there are ten I find horrendously boring, stupid, or hideous...often all three.
