Inspired by Optimus Major's recent success in getting his holy grail, what is yours?

Me? either G1 Shockwave or AM Thundercracker.

 

Hmmm, tough to say. Until recently my holy grain has been BT Grimlock. But I found him recently way over-priced and when asking about it was told that it's not as great one would think.

I would have to say, though, that my current holy grail is movie leader brawl.

Those grails are easily attainable. Just keep watchin' ebay for old AM Thundercracker, I got one for $10!

For me it was the G1 Transformers card set from the 1980's which consisted of 192 cards in mint condition. I always wanted the full set as a kid and 23 years later I now have them! The G1 figure that I want the most is Diaclone Ultra Magnus. It's a bit expensive so I'm going to have wait for that one...

 

Auto Matrix of Leadership statue. The one and only thing I bought at Wizard World Chicago last year. Now I fall asleep while lighting my darkest hour which is when I go to bed.

And one of my best friends whom has much hatred for TF's came up with a great song to try and discredit my purchase. Mind you this is done to the 86 movie theme by Lion. TRANSFORMMMMERRRS Two hundred dollars gooooonneee!!!! Even thou I didn't pay that much it was only $165 or so.

For a long time it was KP Rodimus, missed him when he came out; but I recently got one, MISB, for WAY less than the usual overblown "collector"/auction site prices. I've always found, if you're patient and keep looking, you always find the one you want at a sensible price  

So now it's just waiting to see what MPs & BTs we get in future; in many ways my "grail" is now about seeing whether certain characters get the MP treatment or not.

My holy grail? The entire Ark Crew with BW poseability, and 'close enough' heads.
Almost there, almost there...

Short of that, my only real holy grail is any prime (that includes pre and post optimus) with removable matrix. Well that and all the Bubblegum crisis figures with motoslaves. (just got priss last week! YAY YAMATO! Boo it's a partsformer! DOH! But no tokyo 2040 yet so this is the best I can do until they do 2040 or the OAV revised suits!) And Kamen Rider Faiz's autovaijin. I'm a motorcycle TF fanatic.

Speaking of which... When are they going to start the armored human line of battle armor enhanced by cybertron tech? Cause Daniel had a suit, so did spike, and with today's tech we could easily get far better with an easy story point tied in from the keepers saga. Think about it, augments are implanted with tech, yet that's not the huamnitarian (autobot) way... They'd make battle suits. Similiar to the hardsuits in BGC. Especially when groups like cobra, shocker, machination, and others are all vying (I know I spelled that wrong) for cybertron enhanced tech. What of the Joes, army, S7, Nest, and more do who can't exactly get the insurance for a human augment (nor would the FDA even let them, not like they'd listen but still, would you let the government operate on your brain or more?). Not to mention each could have a car/bike that also transforms or combines to them + transforms to a singular helper bot, and the 'human' heads only need a liftable visor to show the 'human' aspect inside. Perfect culmination of Joe sculpts, TF sculpts, and TF engineering at it's pinnacle! Who cares if it'd be like voyager price point, it's two figs, that combine to one that make sense in why!


I'm praying that's what hybrids, or a joe subline will be, but then again, I know my designs for Halcyon, Enrapture, RemHalcyon, Cyberangel, and DevilHawk won't make it in. And they've been (not done yet along with stikfa arcee sadly, meant to finish all this plus snowcat ratchet months agom though I've started a stikfa prime now from the heroes of cybertron fig, that'll have a removable matrix from the takara pvc rodimus) coming along so beautifully albeit slowly. About to start on Sonix (blaster/soundwave influenced with my own flair) And yeah, god, if the keep this up, between stikfas, yamato BGC, and the Various TF lines, I'm so wallet drained it's not even cool. Thank god I have no rent to worry of till Nov. I'm still screwed on paint though (the main hiccup to why they aren't done! Ran out of paint between Snowcat ratchet, and boombox blaster model kit I ordered that also needs to be kitbashed with better joints from the action fig line or stikfas!)


Sowwie, my shelf above my Ark in progress shelf, is a GI Joe, Motion Revive, BGC series shelf. All figs are the Joe 3 1/2 inch scale or not on it.

My ultimate holy grail though besides those? Animated Omega Supreme. Since I'm about to sell my energon one. City Commander armor, and CJ upgrade kit! (My connection for those sold them out from under me cause of 'buyers' wanting to pay more. >_< I fricken hate it when I'm promised something for one cost just to have it taken away cause someone is willing to pay triple what I was offered. I still feel horrible for the two posters I thought I could get CJ at the lower price for them to at. I even got screwed on it, but I still feel horrible. Need to make some more reliable connections, or use the more reliable ones I have instead of the ebay ones. >.>)

Good choice there. But if you're looking for play-quality, MP-01 Masterpiece Convoy is the way to go. I can only recommend MP-05 if you have some good experience with hard TF figures, and above all; if you're a real "hardcore" fan. Like mwah.

Nothing super rare I suppose, but I'd like a G1 Shockwave someday complete and in good condition for a not-so-high price.
