correct. The stuff is made to protect floors. When it dries, its extremely tough, so it will withstand a lot of wear from you posing or transforming the figure before you'd have to worry about adding it again.

You can also get a foot or so of 1/3" fish-tank tubing. That thin, clear flexible stuff. Cut a very thin slice off the end of the tube, creating a paper-thin washer, in efect. Place it on the end of a ball joint, exactly opposite the stalk the ball is on, and pop the joint back over. It should fill the space and add friction. I did this with deluxe Megatron's hips and right arm and he can hold ANY pose with his cannon up or even out sideways now.

You DON'T want experience. Trust me! This "collector thing" is an overly expensive pain in the ass. JUST RUN AWAY!!!! Once it sucks you in there's no escape!

Thanks for the advice but I’m afraid it’s far too late.

I shouldn't have skimmed through this thread so quickly. All that's registered in my mind is that someone needs head, there's a clueless teenage girl involved but there are also problems with loose holes. Eh?

I just bought Starscream... and not his head. Should I exchange or is it worth bothering Hasbro about it?

Sounds like the Headmaster has been inflicting ownage, total ownage on quite a few Animated figures.

I haven't had any missing parts yet but have noticed a disturbingly inconsistent approached to the screws that are used to hold the figures together.

Only last weekend I disassembled Lockdown to chrome his crappy grey plastic bits (with a gundam silver chrome marker which is highly recommended!!) to find 4 different types and sizes of screws used in places where one one type and size should be used.

The best example of this was the screw just above his knee joint which was a flat head screw rather than a round head screw. It had been screwed in to tight that the screw had damaged the plastic it was going into. Luckily it was fixable and I have some spare screws to use instead.

Ah ha - I see somebody who has an interest in chroming crappy grey plastic ;)

I get mine from HobbyLink Japan (http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZGM100)

Check out the spoon in that picture !!

These markers work wonders on bots that really should be chromed but were not. I am going to post my chromed Lockdown in Radicons later in the week if you are interested.
