I'm just gonna say that, even if I didn't know there were gonna be ten more episodes, the last act would have made me very nervous. All the excitement and jubilation, the triumphant score, everything just seemed too good. Galactica doesn't roll like that, something was going to have to happen to drag everyone back.

Of course, I thought either fifty thousand Cavils would jump out of hyperspace right on top of the fleet, or we'd get a reveal of the planet below from orbit and every single continent is wrong. Kind of a "haha, Colonials, you think it's Earth but it's not! WHATCHA GONNA DO NOW"

I was not expecting a very subdued version of the end of Planet of the Apes.

 

All I can say is "Wow." I was happy to see them celebrate as they made it to Earth, but I just knew that some how the whole thing was going to be fubared. Very surprised to see the ending. Can't wait to see what they do with the rest of the show.

assuming that's really Earth, does anyone know what that ruined city might be? when I first saw the final scene and that structure at the end that looks like a bridge the first thought came to mind was Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. anyone else see the similarities? I know it also shows the Temple of Aurora next to the bridge and theres no such structure in real life but it could have been built in the future.

 

did anyone else think that montage of Bill after Saul tells him was hillarious? i couldn't help laughing when Lee was trying to get him on his feet.

Can't beleive we have to wait over 6 months for the conclusion > : (

 

So did the other Cylons beat them there and glass the planet or did we do the right thing and wipe ourselves out before any space faring bastards had the chance to?



Also no flying motorcycles and magic space-kids makes me sad  

 

it would be funny if this show directly crossed over into the Sarah Connor Chronicles. i'd like to see cylon v T800.

 

I'm guessing we wiped ourselves out first.
It'll be interesting when the rest of the Cylons turn up (if they even know where to look)

I don't think that's the real Earth, not yet. If they show some of the other planets in our solar system then I'll believe.

 

Great episode, but yeah the long wait is really gonna suck.

I esp. loved the final scene on Earth, very beautiful with all the key players even if it was highly unlikely to have all of them gathered in that one place.

I'm slightly concerned now that the final cylon might be some random person never seen before or is waiting on Earth for cylon/human forces. Though I'm banking more on it being Baltar or Laura now given D'anna's statement. It would be interesting if Caprica and Saul's baby is the final cylon model. Even if it wasn't the baby would be the 13th cylon model so thats cool.

Still alot of questions left to be answered though...damn I hate waiting.

 

i'm gonna watcht he scene where Saul comes clean with Adama again tonigth, it was great.

 

The stones on Tigh, offering himself up as a counter-hostage, deflecting Adama's denials, and calling Lee by his old callsign to goad him into airlocking himself. I was in awe the whole episode.

 

it was a good one.

but still, i found the montage of adama drinking and falling over hillarious!

 

It reminded me of Brad Pitt in Snatch, drinking himself into a stupor at his mom's wake. Shakey cam, drool and everything.

i LOVED the last episode, ive really enjoyed every episode of this series. so much has happened in each one. 6 months till the conclusion? wow although ive just bought a new flat screen 47ich tv so i might watch the whole thing bfrom begining to end!
