Don't buy legends from bbts. Unless you catch something on clearance, they and the other US retailers will always overcharge.

I say "overcharge" but it's more that they've got to cover all of their overhead. I don't necessarily begrudge them that but legends figures just aren't worth the prices American sellers charge. I'd rather they just stay out of the game altogether - their being in it makes me nervous that they'll try a TFSource style bullying tactic to make the Chinese stores raise their prices. We've already seen some of that with Newage figures.

 

I recalled hearing that it wasn't meant to be a widespread price overall, but that there was some logistic issue that just ultimately made it go through as him just being as cheap as he was. I admit, I'm not willing to sift through the thread to find it again, so I could be mistaken on the reason. Still, either way it was lower than it should of been, so not really a fair way to judge the pricing on the reminder.

 

Man, getting the robot head back out is a chore.

All that's needed for this one and Kingmini is color and they'll both be good to go. If the last 3 members are gonna be simultaneous releases, then Thundermini should be complete no later than early to mid September at most. Right before Stegsarow's release following the next month after..

 

Looks very nice, only thing left is the new updated design combined mode.

 

Like father, like son. Thundermini can be the mini warrior for the Legends group..

 

I've gotta wonder how a legend/mini sized team of the Dinos would look. Yes - I know I'm getting ahead of myself seeing as we've yet to even have the 1st Dino in hand! But I kinda think part of the appeal of a Dino combiner team is the colossal presence it would have. Would a scaled down version look more comical than anything else? But don't get me wrong - I'd bite without thinking twice. Just thinking out loud thats all...

Do the currently released figures have a crunches - the rhino and bull? I just got out of this set and only have firmini ATM but wildly tempted to hop back in...

I know gorilla isn't out yet but he kind of looks like he has an ab crunch...

 

The MP set doesn't have an ab crunch. I don't think the mini set will have an ab crunch. Would be nice if it did though..

 

Rhimini has an ab crunch, but tantrum does not as far as I can tell with my copy.

 

Unpopular opinion alert.
The bird, the gorilla, the lion and the panther all have too much kibble.

The lion is just a mass with limbs
The panther and bird having animal feet looks lazy
The panther and gorilla having animal limbs on the robot arms looks rushed compared to the bull and rhino

My displays have the teams and then combiner in detolfs but I think this group might spend their lives as animals and not bots.

Four legged beast modes ==> robot mode being not much more than "he stands up" has kinda been a thing since forever.

I mean, at least the paws don't double as hands like some Beast Machines figures.

 

I saw someone on here rotate their bird feet 180 degrees/backwards and it works surprisingly well for trying to de-beastify the bot feet. I plan on trying the same with the panther.

Honestly, I don’t really disagree with any of your criticisms, except just to say that some of this stuff (esp the animal limbs on bot arms folding trick) is tough to avoid at this scale. That said, I’ve got the bull and the rhino in beast mode and I reckon I’ll keep ‘em that way till the rest of the set arrives.

 

You're welcome and I totally understand FOMO!! I don't normally delve into highly stylized takes but because I loved thormini (who couldn't for $26.99???) and it was so high quality I decided I wanted the rest! My wallet is dead since I rediscovered my love for Transformers hahaha
