The blue opaque windows really limit what you can do. Could've worked as an injured Prowl if they'd done that at least. This doesn't even make me relive Prowl's death. I think Weaponizers and Junkions make for better Autobots to get taken apart by your Decepticons.
They're both brand new (and neither are Bayverse). But prior to them it's been mostly 86 with a drip of Bayverse here and there. I mean we've gone through 4 Leader 86 Dinobots with a 5th on the way and Bayverse still remains at 1 from like 5 years ago.

You said nothing but 86, which is completely false. Whether something’s new or not doesn’t matter. So what you really mean is not enough bayverse for your liking. We also got the bumblebee movie stuff too in SS
Well, at least it's not eating up a regular SS slot... Oh who am I kidding, they're absolutely going to re-release this with a regular face and no scorch mark in mainline SS.
The last few Deluxe waves have been Bumblebee movie, Bayverse, and Rise of the Beasts with WFC coming out now. SS has been arguably even more diverse than the Legacy line. I feel like another regular Prowl will be released sometime with this just being a part of a fancy two pack for convention season. I also think people need to wait and see the two pack because it will probably include some effect pieces to give these damaged guys some needed flair.
No time bomb joints is nice but that's all. I would've expected fire/smoke effects for his face long before battle damage that, let's be honest, nobody was going to like.
There's not a single new Bayverse figure this year so far other than Core Bumblebee, which hardly counts. Hatchet was supposed to be coming out, but god knows what has happened to him. Last year, less than a 5th of figures were Bayverse, with one of them being a Bumblebee mold retool, and the pink core class bumblebee. Around a third of them were BB movie figures and the remaining half of the lineup was 86. And the year before when we first got SS86 introduced into the mix, we got 5 Bayverse figures, only 2 of which were new molds, whereas we got double that amount in 86 stuff. No shit it isn't exclusively 86 stuff filling up the slots, but it is a large majority. And the whole "sick of Bayverse" thing is a such stupid thing to claim when 86/G1 also gets major exposure in the mainline while Bayverse ONLY gets representation in Studio Series. So, no. What I "really" mean, is that Bayverse is being hard sidelined in its own toyline for other stuff, most of which is 86 stuff.
Two things could happen here. This will either be the biggest pegwarming TF of 2023 OR if a swappable head and headlight/grill piece are included he'll sell out quickly then be hard to find. Question: Is this very different that earthmode Prowl from WFC lines?
Missing a lot of paint details compared to the ER release, has painted windows/lights instead of translucent plastic, painted rims unlike ER, and obviously the new head/chest tooling. Also it has different door tampos.
Big differences: No translucent plastic. Gray legs. White biceps instead of black. Police shields on doors. Prowl head instead of Smokescreen head.
