Hasbro should stick either to Bumblebee-type stories (one protagonist bot at a time with one or two human sidekicks, or maybe a team of 3-4 like GOTG), to highly stylized animation like Spider-Verse, or to non-traditional stories like Rescue Bots and EarthSpark. The big live-action blockbuster side of Hollywood in general is, if not on life support, suffering from a wicked case of long COVID.

It depends how badly it flops. As long as it breaks-even ($600m) I think we'd get the sequel. I think merchandise sales would help to push them to at least attempt a sequel even if the film does not perform amazingly.

In terms of live-action, I'm expecting the next film to be split into a two-part finale releasing in 2026 and 2027.

• The 2026 film being a lower budget Bumblebee-like movie ending with Megatron Vs Optimus, the death of Prime and Megatron being taken over by Unicron and sent after the Matrix.
• The 2027 film being a higher budget movie with the new Autobot leader rising to the ranks to use the Matrix to destroy Unicron alongside a united army of Transformers before Unicron destroys Cybertron.

 

Eh no, keep Optimus alive. No crossover.
600 milion right now is of the cards for this movie.
At best 450 milion worldwide total maybe 500 milion if word of mouth is positive. At best it wont be a TLK level bomb for Paramount. But I'll be surprised if they continue this story.
Maybe it would have been better to do a much lower budget Autobots vs Decepticon movie. Like that Optimus and Bumblebee spin off.

 

yea this story and this director is done, pretty much

so now paramount has 2 unresolved cliffhanger for this franchise. Might as well do a combined finale Days of future Unicron endgame Matrix War CybertronMania in the World of Madness to tie it all off

 

Maybe it is over, or maybe they decide to move ahead with another movie in this story 2-3 years down the line.

 

Theatres packed, poor financial decisions to be made!

I came from the theater not many hours ago and I enjoyed it greatly.Idk about the best but one of the best in the series for me, definitely the coolest one (Again..for me) no matter what happens to the series..I guess after being a Bayformers fan in my childhood I learned to enjoy the things I do and let go..no one can take that away and there are always things to enjoy
