And now that I have Ground Dion, I can finally buckle down and begin to affix all of those Steel and Glow sheets that you helped me acquire! I think that it took Ornithopter/Hawk to really begin to highlight the potential of Tactical Movers. While the existing Tactical Movers Gamma, Gamma Airborne, Tread, and Tread Chariot (and inverse through the Tactical Mover Expansion Pack) are cool, they all still come across as just 1 frame, 2 Tactical Cores, and 2 loadouts (Chariot and Airborne only add a couple components.) Hawk (and Argo + Garuda upcoming) has a much more exciting and exotic approach to the frames with new components and Tactical Cores that are more like Bullet Cores (and more interchangeable.) Now what has been REAL interesting has been deploying Gamma + Chariot loadout without omitting any parts. Tread Airborne doesn't get away with that nearly as well - I COULD mount the artillery rail guns, but they'd be... impractical. Tomorrow's mission: Gamma Airborne Chariot!!
Awesome - have fun! Going over the Dion mold to use those labels really helped me appreciate it in its entirety. There are details I never would have noticed otherwise. As for versaulters I still think Tread is my favorite (especially in green), but I like how Hawk does something different. I also played around with all the layouts and tried to see how much stuff I could pile on lol.
The "opposite" set up is actually shown in the instructions. It's how they are placed on my TC + TC Expansion, but with 3 chambers (two pointing to one side, one to the other).
- "Looks like we are on schedule, but logistics isn't..." The Dia-Naut crew of Orbital Platform Beta are anxiously awaiting delivery of new equipment... Set pieces by Extreme-Sets, ExHobby, and FEITE
For some reason, the PS looks like it's pouting with a big sad Oh wow...(hehe: getting a "Stargate" vibe from the shot composition.) I really like all of the little details in this shot. As a kid, I love poring over Richard Scary books because the artwork features dozens and dozens of little "vignettes" of people doing all sorts of dynamic things in a static image. That "still life in motion" vibe comes across here, too.
I loved it, until I saw the "Slaughter" branding. I assume Diaclone troops don't include a Dia-xforce.
I presume from the water slide labels and matt finish that is a custom ? But Yes I agree the colours do suit it a lot. If there was an offical version i'd suggest red tinted windows though.
Thank you. Yeah my lighting of the exit into space did have an unexpected effect. I try to have everything in the photo doing something, not just there. Thank you. Hmmm... May be the heavy security presence near the exit. I'll look at that again before the Versaulters arrive.
I tried this out because of your post, not as instructed but I'm really feeling this. wdyt? I know the containers are not able to open all the way, but enough to release the mecha, or just leave the base closed at that stage
Yeah, but at this price, i want it to come with a gold bar, hidden in the cockpit, and a live human female dressed in a Diaclone pilot outfit, to come with the delivery of DA-100 to help me transform each mode.
Further Powered Convoy thoughts: PC vehicle mode is hard to get together. For combined robot mode, assembling the top half and bottom half from the separate parts is easier than transforming directly from PC vehicle mode. That also puts less stress on the ankle joints. A combined robot mode with all parts is possible, but gets very top-heavy. Really needs a third leg... I still should try the alternate leg configuration that is shown on the DA-88 box...that should put less weight on Battle Convoy's ankle joints. If you put the final chamber at a 90 degree angle (so lengthwise in the same direction as the others) and play with the length of the expansion chassis, you should be able to fully open all three. For two of them (1st and 3rd) make them open to the left, and the 2nd one open to the right (when viewing the whole combination from above, cab pointing away from you) - left/right can be swapped, ofc.
Thanks, that works too. Pretty cool. My grand robot pants are otw! Very hyped about full features of CA next week. Random white 1.0 and 2.0 comparison. My 1.0 is more off-white somehow. Ok I'll stop posting so much now
