I was killing time til an appointment this afternoon so I hit up a bunch of stores on the scenic route. I didn’t find any of the $4 deluxes but I did find one store that had them for $10 and one other store was $8.54. I grabbed a bunch of Snout Spouts. None were on clearance, just on the pegs like normal. Other stores were either full price or don’t have them. Fun fact. The store that was $8.54 has loads of the figures. Stacks on the top shelves, tons of Rotons, probably the heaviest amount I’ve seen at a store. Walking out I saw that store manager picture on the wall, I almost dropped my bag. In the early 2010s I worked on a remodel job where we got hired by Walmart to change around the style of endcaps they had. The boss on the job was ultra cool, he was a big comic and toy collector and of course a fellow MOTU Classics subscriber so we got along good. I didn’t keep in touch but I know the managers at the stores were trying to recruit us to come work for them and he was going to think about it. I’ll have to get a hold of him soon, I wonder how is Duplico stocking is coming.
Man, we’re getting so many stinking Snake Men but meanwhile the Horde isn’t living up to their name… Give me Modulok, Multi-Bot, Catra, Scorpia, Horde Prime, Entrapta, Double Trouble, Shadow Weaver…
I got Classics Horde Prime for my Origins figures. Having him larger than all just seems right. And Masterverse Shadow Weaver scales not bad with Origins. She is tall, but she is hovering of the ground anyway. You are right we need more Horde figures especially Scorpia, Catra and Modulok(The figure this line was built for).

Looking at the pieces that come with Masterverse Vykron I’m thinking of grabbing a second to use them on Origins. The gauntlets might work with bare armed WWE figs and maybe the shin guards too. I like Spaceman’s helmet looks like the helmet on the back of the Battle Ram. I’m sure the green eagle head is somewhere, just haven’t found it yet. I like the changes they made personally.
Maybe the green eagle head is inspired by the Road Ripper? Although the Bashasaurus would have fit better.
It'll be interesting to see the Origins King Grayskull next to the MV one next spring. I'm curious to see if the accessories are the same or scaled down from the MV version. Mattel has the ability to create a full color, functional prototype in hours from a design so it would simple to scale the accesories down slightly to Origins scale. I bring this up because as we're getting an Origins Grayskull maybe we will get an Origins Vykron.
If you look closely, Vykron's "Mandalorian" look seems to be based on the Powercon Grayskull spacesuit guy from Origins, which in turn is based on a mix of the vintage cardboard spacesuit and the Battle Ram decal. But I don't THINK they share any sculpted detail. Granted, with 3D modeling and rapid prototyping, you can always tweak things to hide similarities, particularly when you're going to be making a new steel mold anyway.
