I thank, and blame, @fschuler for this! Bludd on my hands... Once again demonstrating the *RIDICULOUS* articulation of Classified with pretty much "Full Draw" poseability! Also prepping/loading additional weapon ACTION! I can almost, *almost*, forgive the lack of a third missile! I probably paid over the odds for him but at least I didn't pay Double his UK RRP, so I won't get mad about it until he gets an eminently-affordable surprise re-stock/rerelease over Yo, Joe! June (unless it's a nifty re-deco, in which case I might buy a Second! Snow Bludd, anybody?)! I do think they've missed a trick with his robo-arm though, the same wrist ports & peg as the B.A.T.s would have been a neat cross-compatibility bonus! Also the whole Merc vibe has me thinking of another to add to the list of potential Classified Crossovers, alongside the OG Predator crew, leaning a little into TF canon I would like to see what the Classified team would make of a Crossover x Marvel Death's Head!
Score! I still think he's got about the most impressive looking head in the line. And, a hand-swap gimmick would have made a lot of sense. AND, there is no telling how long until he gets released again and in what deco. If you got him for less than 2x retail price, I think you did OK.
That is going to be a problem if the all show up the same week, I ordered what I did BECAUSE they were spread out a bit enabling me to budget for that. They have goofed yet again they went months with no toys released then they want to drop a Haslab the same month they are having clearance sales on Hasbro toys and a lot of pre orders land and they want me to pay for a Dragonfly Helicopter as well. Sure I could have anticipated they would release the Haslab now, but I simply forgot to be honest. Also it's never a good look to ask for money for another Haslab before they've even shipped the previous one. Hopefully the final dates won't all be the same day so I don't have to cancel anything. OH dear we are going to get a Haslab the same day Cloud Across goes up and unlike Cl Simple, many of them don't know anything at all about the US Military, I thought that was obvious from watching any Hasbro stream OH dear we are going to get a Haslab the same day Diaclone Cloud Across goes up and unlike Cloud Across I won't have until Feb 2024 to pay for it :-/ & the Hasbro Clearance sale stuff is dropping over the next few weeks too, and has started to drop already. -------------- I like the Classifed Crimson Viper, looks nice, though the more Crimson stuff they make the more I want. A Crimson Infantry Trooper would be nice for example. I'm rather envious of Super 7's Red Laser too. I'm hoping the Valkerie will get some repaint love too. I looked forward to seeing what Agent Helix looks like in finished form I hope they do a Classified Raven too that was a terrific idea that Super 7 had making her that Hasbro should totally pinch, maybe they want to do that after they've done a vintage style Scarlett body to base her on. --------------- Since some people mentioned Retro Classified I've been thinking about what might be nice for the line, not in terms of individual characters, but in terms of army builders. I think Retro Cobra Soldiers is obvious, but perhaps not needed really the ones we have are arguably better (accept for the guns). But I think I'd not mind a retro Stinger Driver perhaps. I really wouldn't mind a Retro Ice Viper or Snow Serpent either. I like the idea someone had of the vintage style Red Ninja's they'd be able to do that easily as it's only a slight remould of Stormshadow. I think I see a lot of love for the idea of a Techno Viper too if they put the same sort of love in they did for the Range Viper I think that would be rather popular. -------- In terms of Characters though, Jinx is something I'd like but she'd kinda steps on the toes of the Red Ninjas, mayb Tiger Force Jinx instead (initially at least) ?
Used the original Air Skiff labels on my Custom. Most of the time the decals weren't scaled correctly for the OG vehicles so it can work out.
That’s such an easy fix though. Ask a vet. There’s SO many these days. I’m sure there may even be a few working for Hasbro.
Same. I already have my budget planned out for my rent increase at the end of June; the Orion Pax/Shockwave set, Toxitron, Cloudcover & Point Dread in July; and Megatron/Ratbat & Snake Mountain in August. It would be most convenient for me to have Mindbender, Snow Job, & the Artic Bat in September and the Trouble Bubble in October as I’d have the money to spare for them. I hope if I have to cancel any of them they won’t be to impossible to get later on.
I want that Grunt so badly! The Crimson Viper... eh? This for me. I want all of the original thirteen GI Joe characters in the Classified line. I let out a small cheer when I completed them in the modern-style. It's the same with Transformers-I want all of the original mass-market G1 wave one.
Long story short an order I made including a Breaker & RAM cycle from Hasbro UK's Ebay store "went missing between warehouses", so after chuntering about not being able to secure a RAM for the same price once they had refunded me, they actually offered a consolatory Tiger Force Duke & RAM. Of course I said, "YES!" and they just arrived today. Now I'm afraid that the First Sergeant has never been one of my Faves (but neither is Breaker, it was all about the 'bike!) so I very much appreciate the TF deco, lack of gold and that Hasbro replaced the mainline buck's Nerf gun with Stalker's SMG. I'm likely not the first or last person to swap his lower legs but I had to, for some reason the shin guards don't seem angled right to me when you line them up for straight legged poses - they look too oriented to the inside of the leg rather than the front to me? The letters stamped into the inside of the shinguards themselves tell me I'm wrong but this looks right to me! And is it me or is no helmet for Duke a bit of a swizz? I tested Roadblock's but the Duke has too much hair for it to sit right, I might still try casting a spare from it for Duke but mess with the interior tolerances at some later point. The only issue with the RAM is it's a bit moreish! I might have to look out for the original flavour after all!
Bit the bullet and finally slowly...carefully...meticulously took apart my '84 Cobra Rattler for a deep clean. Got a few scratch marks from where I used a tool to pry everything open (again, very carefully) but nothing broke, thank God! Gonna hit it with some Goo gone for decal residue, give it a shot of Novus plastic polish, slap some toyhax repro decals and bask in it's awesomeness!
My Crimson B.A.T. also arrived today, muggins 'ere forgot that Pulse UK doesn't stack/bundle in-stock items and send them withn the Pre-orders in the same order come in - D'OH! I find myself thoroughly whelmed by it, I know that Hasbro have budgets but not bunging a bit of a sweetener in the form of adding in one of the Siegey weapons to really give him that Crimson Guard vibes leave him as just a different colour B.A.T. The idea that some Siegeys have a stash of these as an instant support unit is a neat one though. I can envision an activated Fred popping in his hired storage unit, to crack open some crates/cases of these disassembled to put them together for the mission.
I thought Hasbro would of offered a Cobra trooper three pack. The Crimson BAT is okay, the Viper is not exciting, a Cobra Trooper would be interesting in the Crimson BAT colors, but enough of this Crimson Guard repaints, bring on the Iron Grendiers. This year's exclusive could be Destro and his despoiler.
