Give it a week and see what AJP brings to the table. Haven't we heard ¥22k? That's less than $150, right?
Depends on the exchange rate. Inflation is taking hold in Japan so I think this one will be more expensive (in Yen) than Trailbreaker.
Tb is around Y21780 including sales tax so if purchased outside JP via their online stores around Y15K or US$ 109.00 Still time to save plus of course shipping.
I think the price will be higher than 21780 Yen in Japan, but the Yen is so weak now, people living overseas will still get a good deal in the end, people living in Japan not so much.
Compared to DA-95, the price went up by 4400 Yen no? Prices are going up in Yen. As I said, inflation which used to not exist in Japan has been pretty steady at around 4.x%. I think for this it's fair to expect a 1000 to 1500 Yen increase, if that does not happen it's fine, but a price increase is more likely to happen.
There's more. It's not supposed to be long-legged like Trailbreaker. The height of the legs is supposed to be about the same distance from the top of his head to the bottom of the chest.
I'm sure this was mentioned already ...but the one detail they managed to capture, which is essential to Hoist's overall design, is that they managed to hide the crotch part of his lower body. His design essentially has his two legs just protruding right from the large cab upper body part; like two sticks holding up a ball. Ya know? They did this on him, and I don't see that in any of the 3rd party Hoists. Well done TT.
I hope it goes down too but I expect the price to be high anyway at BBTS, TCP, TFSource, etc. And that's before taxes and shipping.
Wasn't TB like 154 at Domestic shops? The dollar has been holding pretty strong for a while now if he's not the same MSRP, he's only 4 or 500 yen more
Hoist is I believe the only transformer without an arse/ass/fanny/backside. This is why he is called hoist, as without this protrudence he is left continually pulling up his trousers.
It's also why he's a tow truck. He dangles the hook down there to keep his trousers up. An early unused draft of Budiansky's bio for Hoist included the ability: 'can hoist his trousers up with a force of 800 tonnes'.
