Not only is the screen count low, I imagine a lot of theatres will be giving MAJority of their showings to Spiderverse which is making more than 100 mill this weekend

So yea this is fucked. Expect Rotb to be no.2 on its opening weekend to spiderverse

Hard disagree with the third point. Audiences like good movies. You know how many times people keep trying to pull the “superhero fatigue card”? Yeah, people have bad/average movie fatigue. We want good movies that are a fun time at the theater and/or an emotional time. Or both. Like Guardians 3. The problem with transformers is the brand image. I’ve seen so many comments from people saying they’ll skip ROTB because they’ve been burnt too many times by Bay. That’s why I’m hoping all these positive reactions can carry over to the actual reviews.

Two biggest threats to ROTB remain flash and Spiderverse. And Spiderverse is very much going to do well. Good reviews all around for it.

Anxiously waiting on Flash’s embargo lift. (Even though I’m almost certain it’ll be positive)

I live in a rural area where the closest theater to me is like 30 minutes away. At least it's a big theater though so i'm sure they'll be playing rotb. I feel bad for people in worse situations than mine.

Yeah let’s be real here, flash will have a good score. The question tho will still be how much $$ it makes. I’ve still seen lots of people on Twitter say they think the movie looks bad. Some of the general audience may have zero interest due to dceu fatigue (although this is where good reviews come in). So it’s a wildcard really as to exactly how well it does.

Can you please explain for someone that doesn't entirely get it?I know that DC is not something people hold in high regard..is it because it tries a No Way Home thing but with Batman?I know there's the controversy with Ezra too and all so I genuinely ask: What's going on with this one?I admit I'm a little curious about the Batman thing but I'm not in a rush to watch it, just want to understand some of the hype behind this

I know that Across of the Spider-Verse will do well
It is stated that The Flash could do not well
So hopefully ROTB can be a success

No Way Home, but with Micheal Keaton, arguably the greatest live action Batman.

Boss Logic knows someone who’s seen The Flash and told him it’s the best DC movie WB has ever made.

As I said, I'm curious about it too 'cause I liked his Batman but wonder if he's enough to save the movie.I doubt that if a great actor was in TF people would have been as excited. It's really comedic and tragic if the thing that stops ROTB from making more bucks is people's nostalgia to that.If it has something else going for it now..Idk, I just don't.Now Across The Spiderverse..I get the appeal, that has everything going on for it even before it was created

I think if we (and hopefully parmount) manage the expectation ROTB will be fine. Don't expect 1 billion, but a 555 mil floor to a 750 ceiling seems reasonable.

It’s a very popular DC story line for one, with a very popular character. They are also setting it during man of steel which is fun.

Another big draw that people seem to often mess up is that it isn’t a multiverse movie. It’s a time travel movie. The whole point of it is that screwing with time can cause a massive butterfly effect. Some characters being alive, some not, some characters grow up completely differently, etc.

There are a lot of better movies like The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Zack Snyder's Justice League, Wonder Woman (2017) and a few others
I don't think The Flash can beat those
