We very likely should see some new computer leaks as well given that many of them typically happen in the summer. The sooner the better to give people something to actually discuss (good or bad) because this thread is getting fucking weird with the shit being brought up lately.

Also hope Hasbro reveals this guy before the Fall season.

Are we going to get computer leaks? Didn't we get 2024 leaks like way, way earlier than usual? Might be awhile before we get another set.

 

yeah we got them in like November or something, and then a few more in like January, and it's covered about the first 2 waves of UNI so far

 

Which is SUPER early, we usually get leaks like summer time. 2023's were in July and 2022's were mainly late July-early August.

True. We did get them super early, but I can see this going two different ways. First, because we got listing leaks we normally don't get in the summer for the first two waves of Legacy UNI we won't get leaks for the second half until we normally would have gotten them. Second, because the listings leaked early the other listings will leak early also and we'll see the second half of Legacy UNI's listings by the end of the summer. Either way is possible given how things have been lately.

 

Did we get as many listings as we normally get during the summer? To me, it feels like we got a few less listing leaks than normal. If that's the case, could see a few more before the typical second half.

 

We haven't been getting the exclusives as fast.

We essentially just got Amazon's in the last month.

I don't think we've actually gotten ANY of Pulse exclusives aside from SG Grimlock.

We have some indications from our resident leakers that they're seeing a lot more convention exclusives than they have actually shared. (See: JTPrime talking about a "surprising" number of convention exclusives when all we've seen are two.)

We have the Walmart Toxitron wave 1 listings, mostly. We don't know if there's a second Voyager or a wave 2.

We've generally been seeing design or factory leaks ahead of retail inventory listings in a lot of cases and have unaccounted for Buzzworthy figures.

It may be that retailers are cracking down on leaks but I don't think that's it, actually.

I think retailers are slashing their orders due to pandemic overstock (which they're not clearing out for some reason) and manufacturers are working to find homes for product that's planned or even manufactured.

Essentially, we had an unusually robust toy market when people were staying home more and schools were virtual. Right before the bad inflation numbers came out, retailers ordered an obscene level of stock. And they're working through that rather than carrying new stuff now, resulting in a lot of homeless or canceled items or stuff from less popular toylines largely getting dumped in other countries without reaching the U.S. Or getting dumped in a small percentage of stores if it does make it here.

Which is making new product listings unusually chaotic and unreliable, with things like the canned Velocitron Hot Rod, factory samples leaking before retailers have items in their system, and items listed as eCommerce or convention exclusive not always lining up with what the listing says it is.

Marvel Legends even had that Shuma Gorath figure enter port last year and then vanish, although that may be caused by other issues. Walmart has skipped nearly two years of Masters of the Universe figures from all three lines except for a couple if deluxes and vehicles. A lot of product is hitting Europe months early and selling out instantly here in the States, if it makes it here. Individual stores are incredibly inconsistent in what they stock.

I got an RED Shockwave from a random reappearance of RED during a Walmart reset months ago (it reappeared with a new shelf tag and higher price) but most of the Walmarts I visit don't carry it at all. And we have, I think, two RED listings from last year that never materialized and got ANOTHER two a few months ago. And I'm not even sure where it would be physically shelved.

Hasbro employees seem to be hinting that the new video game will get a Studio Series wave, which contradicts the intel we had prior to that.

I know Hasbro's action figures are bleeding money right now. Transformers is essentially the only bright spot outside of their gaming division. And even then, we're getting exclusive lines that nobody can find and late product listings and product that doesn't match listings.

I think the retailers are a source of chaos right now and part of it owes to them not clearing stock quarterly.

 

1) Evan DID say they wanted to launch Gamer Edition ahead of Transformers Reactivate, meaning that game will get Studio Series figures down the line, when however it's unclear, because we still don't know when is the game coming out (this year or the next one)
2) I feel like when the pandemic hit, the opposite happened: it lead to underproduced exclusives, which was the case for most of the Earthrise exclusives (mainly the Amazon exclusives: the Ironhide/Prowl, Ratchet/Lifeline and Ramjet/Dirge packs), in which a lot of orders ended up getting cancelled

For Legacy UNI, we know two waves worth of figures, for Studio Series we only have at best one wave and some from the following wave

I just want to know if I'll have to squander my hopes for Studio Series Que for yet another year

 

I wonder if NYTF moving to the autumn has changed the timings of computer listings going live?

 

Apologies for any offence caused on my part.

But I do find differences in perception among us absolutely fascinating- optical illusions, the white/gold dress, the McGonagle effect, that sound effect from a few years ago where different people heard entirely different sounds, variances in colour perception etc. So much of our existence today is defined by audio and visual experience- it is amazing that we might be experiencing entirely different things.

Our perception of things around us is definitely incomplete. As far as we're concerned, our net perception of what's real could simply be a shared delusion.

Regardless, I'm intrigued to see what SS Reactivate figures would look like.

I would not be shocked if the Reactivate 2-packs are labeled as SSGE on the box.
