    Spoiler.

As I said it before, this is not a reboot since Lorenzo says no.
"But they need to remove him"
¿Really? He is literally the one who put most of the money, so he is not gonna leave.
    "But Caple says..."
People, Caple is just a name. Actors are just names. Lorenzo & studio cant care less about them, they are just names to put there, do you really, actually think that they can make one single thing? Please, it was never about them. Caple can direct and actors can act, but they dont edit the movie and they dont make VFX, so everything is the the Lorenzo hands. And I didnt read the big spoilers because I cant find them (if you have the link, put below, please & thanks), but Im completely sure that the movie can be vague enough to make hints from here to there so people never cant say if "it is or not"
Besides, the thing makes me less interested here (way less) is that this looks like a MCU comedy and not ike Transformers movie.
And for the ones who says "What is the matter with that if MCU works" the matter is Transformers came to cinemas BEFORE MCU, its disappointing to watch it turn into another thing when can be itself.
    Anyways.

I fear Lorenzo will retaliate by just not bringing Caple back.

Except its not vague in the slightest. In fact the "best" reason you can even give is that Bayverse already was a dumpsterfire in terms of coherency.
The fact that people think this one will be secretly factchecked while the director himself went in realistically from the start not intending to make a bayverse film is kinda silly.

I'm more interested in finding out how you think this is a MCU comedy instead of a Transformers film when Bay's movies were plagued with just as much dorky college dude comedy.

My opinion on Lorenzo is that he has this sense of narcissim that often leads to him seemingly not knowing what in the blue hell he's talking about.
Personally speaking, I pretty much toss anything he says out the proverbial window.

Caple just did an interview where he very clearly states this is part of the Bumblebee reboot.

di Bonaventura coping and seething that people are ready to move on from the Bayverse was funny initially but now it’s just plain annoying. I love the hell out of the Witwicky trilogy, but Jesus Christ it’s time to move on, dude. Let it go. Also that end credits scene…I was initially interested to see what they would hint at but sweet Christ. Are they serious?

could at least give some cool bot redesigns if gi joe influences the designs at all(very likely it doesn't)and maybe we could see a successor to human alliance figures otherwise doesn't add much for me, maybe they'll introduce quickstrike and have him say "snake eyes? No thanks, already have them"

The Fox X-Men franchise reminds me of the TF franchise in some ways.

They sometimes had end credit scenes that promised one thing and then didn't followup on it (X-Men Apocalypse teasing Sinister and then nothing)

Also, Lorenzo reminds me of Simon Kinberg -both talk out of their bootyhole a lot.

    MCU comedies Mini list:

-Have all the characters making stupid jokes.
-Stupid jokes are in the worst moments, even in deaths of "cruel" fights.
    -Are super childlish.
    -VFX are terrible.

I agree that Transformers always have comedy and I dont like most of it, but theres zero comedy in Rotf forest battle, Dotm autobots return, '07 Bee being captured by Nest, or Aoe Dinobots city riding. Even in Bumblebee Shatter vs Bee.

But its true. Its not important what "people think" since Lorenzo want some thing and some thing only, and just care what he want. Did you watch the face of Caple when Lorenzo says "No, its not" It was the smile of "Ok, this is not gonna be the movie I tried to direct" and I bet that if the movie succeed and they start sequel, Caple juuuuust by coincidence will not make part of it.

I honestly doubt they’ll go through with paying off the post credits scene. If the gap between this movie and its sequel is as long as Bumblebee, who is actually going to care about a short post credits scene in 5 years? I doubt anyone working on this will remember in 2.

Sinister was set up in a lot of the later X-Men movies including Apocalypse, Deadpool 2, and New Mutants at least

I hope they either don't follow up on what they are setting up here, or they just make their movie but have it be a spinoff film that does not tread on this trilogy.

Apparently you didn't notice, but what I made was a list that sums elements, not one where you select only the one that suits you.

oh noes i didn't rebut your post line by line my bad boo my bad

comedy is subjective. it's fine if you don't enjoy the comedy in marvel movies. not all of it lands for me, lots i enjoy --- and so do millions of others. comedy is the most subjective genre. i don't like the hangover. lots of people do. i love the good place, i think it's hilarious. others don't. Guardians 3 was *amazing*, top tier Marvel for me, one of the best movies I've seen in a long time --- emotional, funny, beautiful looking, and a great watch that I was wholly invested in. the "childish" argument is also extremely subjective, and it's a bizarre comparison to make as if the transformers movies haven't been immature from the jump. define "childish", or don't, i don't really care, man. transformers, avengers, this is all good fantasy shit. All of these characters and ideas CAN be used to tell powerful, moving stories. We've had many great stories in the MCU. It's like it runs the gamut. For me, the TF movies have been *universally terrible*. I'll take a mediocre Marvel movie over every bayflick, every day of the week. And if you or others like the Bay flicks? RFucking go on then! I love it! I'm not going to try to "in this essay I will explain ---" it.

    It isn't objective.

arguably, you over-generalize. SOME Marvel flicks have had mediocre VFX; others have amazing work. SOME Marvel movies go too far with quips and undermine dramatic sequence; others absolutely nail the drama. For me I love Thor Ragnarok top to bottom; Love & Thunder was okay but even as som3ebody who loves Taika's general vibe, it was too much. You're saying "all 40 of these movies are the same" when they're not. Cool, there are fights in TF movies that don't have jokes. There are in the MCU as well, so... I dunno what you're so mad about.

If ROTB is at least visually comprehensible (something the bay movies, IMO, never were between the shaky cam, strange directing choices, etc), and the plot is basic but more or less make sense, I'll call that a win. I'd love it to be more but that's clearly never been the goal of the filmmakers for TF.

    I see it as this;
A sequel to the Bumblebee movie which was a reboot, but slowly inching its way into multiverse territory.
