Got the 15th Anniversary set recently off of Amazon. Don't own any of the originals (though I have RotF & DotM Bumblebee), so it was nice to finally get my hands on these molds and to give my Autobots a Leader. The set overall is pretty good but it is lacking in a few paint areas (presumably because all of the budget went into Jazz, who is easily the best of the bunch while Bumblebee suffers the worst). And considering how hard some of these figures are to get now, I'm glad Hasbro reissued them like this.

The box came unpackaged and with the delivery stickers applied straight onto the boxart, which I found surprising and rather poor delivery etiquette. Luckily, I'm not a MIB collector, so no big deal as while the box did have a hole in it, the figures themselves were all fine. However, when I transformed Optimus back from his truck mode while getting them all ready for the shelf, the big tab that holds the bottom of the grill together snapped clean off. This was quite frustrating, especially since the grill has a large unsightly gap in it without the tab to hold it together. The only other modern figure I have had break on me is Shadow Panther's beast mode neck tab, which isn't necessary for transformation.

Is there any way for me to fix this or am I kinda fucked with this one? Like can I glue it back together or would it just snap straight off again the second any pressure is put on it? I was always planning on replacing Ratchet with the PF version and I think I'm probably gonna get the 2007 Bee and swap heads with this one, but I don't really want to have to replace another figure from this set as £128 is not worth a single tiny Deluxe and a Voyager.

 

The optimus tab breaking is a design flaw both of mine did it, I don't think anyone who hasn't modded it still has it attached and considering how small it is yeah thats not going back on

 

That sucks, at least I'm not alone.

I guess I’ll just have to be content with bringing a human here in video games…. *sigh*

I think it was a fake leak (the reason why it was debunked was because it had a false core class Stratosphere in the listings for next wave) naming delta 2 electroshock but who knows

 

Sad that you can't get trumpeter kits or yolopark kits for a good price on Amazon. I feel like the live action designs look incredible without the feature of transformation, but I can't really get a hold of them. This is where I think RED fell short. Live action designs in actual hard, high quality plastic in mainline is a pipe dream, and has been proven to look incredible. By model kits and our very own radicons section

Even better, licence it to flame toys. They'd do a kickass job at a relatively low price and chug scale.
