Looks l8ke this tigatron doesnt have that stupid on purpose discolored plastic. Probably get this set.

 

Tigatron looks great! No ugly pre-yellowed crap! Also Blackarachnia should have her purple feet.

Damn I want Dinobot though. They better get to him.

 

Looks like they fixed the yellowing for Tigertron, but I don't see anything different for Black Arachnia. Maybe when we get more high quality pic's I'll see the difference.

 

Still don't think my Tigatron is yellowing, but I never liked the realistic yellow airbrush given to him. So if this guy is all bright white like he should be, that'll be a lovely upgrade.

welp, I scoffed at the Megs/Primal, still don't see any need for the Tigatron/ BA two-pack, but I will be one of the (I'm sure many) people trying to offload this "premium" Waspinator.

 

There’s a ton of extra paint. You’ll be able to see it more easily once we get high resolution images.

There’s extra paint on her knees and inner thighs, the base of her spider legs/biceps, and possibly her chest, shoulders and other gold parts as well.

 

That's what I was thinking lol.

Roughly $9 more than 2 Kingdom's $23 Deluxe or $5 more than 2 Legacy $50 deluxes. Really not a bad price. Sucks that it seems to be taking longer than the other 2 Packs since the ETA is January or February

 

Interesting. So Terrorsaur VS Rattrap isn’t next. I’ll get this set definitely. My KD Tigatron has yellowed and this new one looks much nicer. I may or may not sell this Blackrachnia. I’m not a fan of the mold

 

There wouldn't be any paint on her knees or upper arms, as those parts share a nylon sprue. From what we can tell from these tiny images, the knees/upperarms parts (and neck and ankle joints) continue to share a color, so it's unlikely they stopped casting those parts in nylon (among other practical reasons). Instead, it appears they painted the part of the robot mode biceps that the spider legs attach to, so that they match the rest of the (unpaintable) upper arms.

(if you notice, the knees on the tiny preview image are a brighter yellow compared to the orange-ier rest of the lower legs -- because the knees can't be painted)

I'm also...fairly certain that the robot feet/hips/innertorsoparts (aka everything purple on Buzzworthy 4-pack Blackarachnia) are also nylon. Which is why in this low-res image, the feet look very black, rather than purple, because it's more important that the hips and torso innards remain black.

 

Wonder if the remaining six Season 1 characters are getting this premium treatment too. Rattrap, Airazor, Tarantulas, Terrorsaur, Dinobot and Inferno left to go. I generally dislike playing the upgrade game but they look so good. Hard to say no to some of the best characters in TF history looking pretty damn close to perfect as far as decos go. I'd be down for better decos on all the remaining characters. Especially Rattrap. He's just lacking in either existing figure.

 

Watch...next year these VS packs will get released again, but this time with toon accurate beast heads.  

 

Netflix Rattrap is pretty close. But that’s why Tf30 and its repaints are better imo. And yes we are getting the rest of S1

 

The base of the spider legs is clearly a different color from the rest of the spider legs though. Biceps part is completely yellow here, not orange.


And here you can see the additional gold paint on the knees, as well as the second purple paint op on the inner thighs. The gold knees are clearly visible in the beast mode as well. The knees are definitely paintable as they are the same part as the inner thighs, which are painted on the Kingdom figure as well. The reason the knees weren’t painted on that release was because the prioritized the beast mode. The black knees look better in spider mode. (To be clear, I was talking about the actual knee joint, not the knee armor/spike thingy).

 

See, this is where we're getting mixed up on terminology.

Because I agree with you on that first part, and said as much!



And also we're on agreement about the knees, it's just that, uh, I called the little extra spikey parts that are her knees "the knees." Not the gears that form the inside of their thighs.



For clarification, the believed nylon parts of Blackarachnia are the purple and green parts seen here.

(minus the head and weapon, as those parts are painted purple over black and gold/orange plastic, respectively.)

 

Yeah I saw that you edited your post, clarifying what you meant by knees. I also edited my post accordingly  
Agreed about the knee spikes looking yellow.

But I think it’s pretty clear from the comparison I posted that the bicep part of the spider legs is yellow, while the rest of those legs is orange. There’s even some black in there too, as it should for screen accuracy.
