Oof! I did complete my DeLorean, and was considering starting the Ecto-1, glad I didn't since I've only gotten it 1/3 complete before Eagleton would've gone belly up.

Average Dreamwave hater brainrot. Literally looks more like an IDW Optimus foot with how it tapers.

Oh I don't care how the shape of the foot looks, I just find it funny/mildly annoying that Pat Lee got Prime's tail light stickers backwards 20-ish years ago and that people keep getting it wrong as a result of the game of telephone that one piece of art started.

That Eaglemoss fiasco is unreal.. I can not believe they put their operating funds in the stock market.. I can understand some off the profit.. but your operating funds.. There is still people digging Eaglemoss products out of warehouses to sell you should keep an eye out for Ben Robinson on Twitter or Facebook, he might be able to help you. @BenCSRobinson on the twatter.

Also yes.. the tail lights being backward is idiotic. The whole internet is there to look up more than one previous product shot of a character or item you're going to work on.. designers of publicly sold products should use it, don't be lazy, care about your work.

It would be cheaper to just buy a good 3D printer and print one yourself. Sure it would be all plastic but you could customize it any way you want.. Thats what i love about 3D printing, you can pretty much print things any size you want and you can customize the STL files. I seen guys printing 5 foot tall Scorponoks and Metroplexs that can transform..

Edit... seen this 6 foot Soundwave today on FB. All 3D printed..

That’s might be an unwise bet for you to make. Hasbro licensed this with Agora, per their newsletter. I highly doubt Hasbro is going to let one of their flagship lines get a black eye like that.

I dont see anything special about this model to even come close to justifying the price.. I seen a lot of Eaglemoss kits upclose at shows and was not impressed at all. I have seen plastic model kits that impressed me more.. This Agora company is no different.. Just milking a name brand is all it is.. I mentioned in a different post , you are better off just buying a good 3D printer and printing your own. You can buy files for a figure for less then 15 to 20 bucks and print it however big you want it. You get more enjoyment out of it i think because you can customize it how ever you want. You dont have to wait for parts to ship out. Print time can take a bit but its still faster then waiting for a few parts a month to come in the mail..

For anyone interested, Prime's promotional material from Agora. Like I said, I've built some of their big-scale models before and they are legit. First box is heavy too.

emgo has build videos for the first set - i just saw that it’s ~$2k for the whole thing, even more if you want the stand!? that’s roughly the same as the yolopark iies figure which seems way more intricate than this, and is already built - i thought model kits are typically cheaper lol. guess he has the size going for it, and i thought iies was big enough…

too bad for the price, because if it was significantly cheaper, i may have gone in on this set.

Three packs into this model, I have to say I am impressed. The model itself is big, heavy, and frankly looks awesome.

Also, Agora's customer service is great. First pack was missing the model's battery pack, and they sent a new one right away. They also included a note in the third pack that explained what they felt was a slight defect in one of the gaskets, and so they included the replacement one and highlighted it in the instructions.

For a sense of size and scale and range of motion (if you want a scale of the arm, I am over 6'4"...)

So, just over halfway done and you can start to see the general shape. Both arms are done, and the inner support structure of the legs are finished. I am not exactly sure how high up the legs go, but they close to being the whole leg.

Kit breakdown so far, for those interested:
1 - Head and front torso (his opening doors for the Matrix)
    2 - Left shoulder
3 - Left forearm and hand
    4 - Right shoulder
5 - Right forearm and hand
    6 - Both feet
    7 - Both lower legs

8-12 will be the coverings for the legs, hips, lower torso, back, and the rest the chest compartment, plus weapons and the base.

Legs, minus the tires for the lower legs and the exterior fuel tank for the truck mode (as they haven't been included in a kit yet), and hips are done with two packs to go, plus the base. Just the torso is left and that should pull the whole together.

We are relocating soon, so most of everything is packed up, but still plugging away at this. It's coming along nicely. Legacy Metalhawk included for size comparison. What it doesn't show is the weight - this thing is clocking in at over 10 pounds already.

Modifying the model's feet is very easy. The tip of the foot that holds the taillights, and the taillights themselves, are all independent parts and can all be swapped in terms of the order of the lights and their placement to the outside of the foot instead of the inside. It literally involves swapping six parts and had zero effect on the electronics.

As for the whole start of the piece with Pat Lee doing it backwards... He was the artist Hasbro chose at the time, so Hasbro was okay with what was (at the time and still is) a very minor modification to one of their flagship characters. And that piece of art more or less revived G1 and set the stage for the Renaissance of TF we had during IDW and now, even though Pat Lee is somewhat of a jerk.
