Before anyone freaks out over the constant cuts, it has of course been edited down. Screencaps gallery:
Holy shit your right. He first transforms in front of the door, but then it cuts to him transforming again and you can see the spoiler on his feet.
It makes me wonder if there's more Autobots on Earth, just scattered? Could lead to spin offs in other countries. Drift and Ratchet movie in Japan done as a proper samurai style movie. A spy thriller with Nightbeat in the UK? A western with Ironhide and Chromia in Mexico?? The other thing I've been wondering, is if the Decepticons are on Earth at this point too? Have the bots and cons been waging a war since Bumblebee or are the bots just hiding on Earth with no cons?
Beequel Mirage has easily become my third favorite Autobot spanning all universes. Solidly behind G1 Swipe and G1 Jazz. Hell, I even like Pablo and.......wait for it........wait for it.......some of you may want to sit down for this.......Arcee. I never freaking like Arcee, but so far she's okay. As for Bee, I really really hate the chest design on him.
Man, when they're not clipped into one-liners the Autobots (especially Mirage) seem a lot more normal and low-key. One of the earliest bits of info we got was that Mirage can turn into "anything" on the fly and he would have multiple alt modes. Guess it's part of his illusion abilities and a cool nod to the G1 character.
Why do they keep releasing clips like this? The editing is janky as hell and doesn't really show the scene in the best light. Just show the entire scene. Show a shorter snippet if it's too long.
Who knows. Cause now some people on social media genuinely believe the film is edited like that and therefore think it’s bad. Such extremely odd marketing decisions.
Yeah, it's bizarre. If I was a non-fan scrolling on YouTube and came across this clip, I would just assume that's exactly how the scene plays out in the movie, especially since it looks like they deliberated edited it in a way where the lines and the background score are seamless between the cuts.
Honestly. Like what was even the reason for cutting away to a completely different mirage transformation in the middle of a transformation from a different part of the scene? Wtf
Watch it be some strange algorithm-appeal thing by someone who specializes in social media edits. Like by trimming every possible second of voiceless footage it'll play better into YouTube's recommends or something.
That… may be exactly why. Oof. Honestly either way, as long as the actual film isn’t edited horribly then it’s fine. Might hurt potential ticket sales tho since some people may see these clips and be turned off from it.
