Hip-hop and R'n'B are second only to pop as the most popular music. So it is a no brainer that it dominates on this soundtrack.

Might wanna check the update on the front page.
It also makes sense. Not only is the title changed to "Rise of the Beats", but also the playlist itself doesnt advertise itself as an album, but rather a playlist. You click on the songs themselves and it takes you to their respective albums.

Yeah except for the fact that @SilverOptimus knows inside info and didn’t dispute the fact that these songs are actually in the film. He even said the songs are listed in the order they are used during the film..

I've never followed soundtracks so im ignorant, does this mean the BW theme will for sure NOT be in the film?

They can be on the album, but my point is that this is a playlist, not the album itself.

Okay, from reading your original comment, I thought you were saying this music is not from the movie. I get it now. Yes, so the songs listed in the article are part of the official soundtrack (and will be featured in the movie), however, the playlist on Spotify is just something that includes a few of the songs and not necessarily the full official soundtrack they may release as its own thing.

I’ve got no problem with the rap/R&B but where’s the rock? I was 20 in ‘94 and grunge, alternative, metal, and straight up rock n roll was VERY prevalent then.

Glad to see DiCola gets his moment. Everything else sounds like a Deadpool mix tape, good and bad.

Listened to the soundtrack listings, and while I can't say I love them as much as the songs in Bumblebee I do think they'll be cool in the context of the movie. Rap has never really been my favorite genre, but it's certainly not my least favorite and it tends to sound good in movies because it's upbeat and has a steady rhythm. It's cool to see the franchise try new things.

I actually really like the song "Waterfalls" (heard it for the first time a few weeks back, and have been listening to it a lot recently). But it's weird the track listing doesn't give a performer like the other listings. Makes me think it'll just be one of the characters singing a couple lines from it, which would be kind of disappointing because I'd love to hear that song play in the movie. But maybe a performer isn't listed because it's a new cover or something.

The Steve Jablonsky themes are interesting. I'm curious if they'll just play the existing songs or if they've incorporated them into new pieces of the score.

No Weird Al Yankovic, Spicegirls, or Mirage doing the Macarena?! How can this be a Unicron movie set in the 90’s?

lol seriously… it’s already too long. They don’t need to add another 50 hours to the screen time with every “gem” from 1990-1999.
