The only SG figures I had/have interest in was/is Flamewar and maybe Slicer (with his cute little exo-suit buddy), but this one definitely looks good. Might just get it and pretend it\'s Rodimus Unicronus 

 

I was wondering though, what with them being sensible to have done this ages ago so they can push a Rodimus Prime later on (with Trailer) by making it the Hot Rod Mould so later it gives the impression they don't want to do the full body.

Which then begs the question might the do it all completely a$$backwards and make an IDW colour Commander Class later on.

I would like both, I just wish they'd done it before we had a huge rise in general and toy price inflation though. As Jetfire was plenty expensive enough already previously.

I do like SG Jetfire though he's perhaps nicer than the original ( & at least he can't discolour being black(

Shattered glass Rodimus looks like he has to register on one of those list and can't live too close to a school.

 

If he was in that IDW (non-SG) Rodimus purple deco or came with a swappable IDW Flamewar head*, he'd be a must have for me. But my funds are running tight, so I'll have to pass on him and be content with my 86 Hot Rod and PotP Rodimus Unicronus.

Glad he's going to be available for everyone that wants him though.

* Now a multipack of SG Rodimus with Flamewar's head, ER Thundercracker retooled as his IDW Su/Figueroa incarnation, and a teeny Buster (maybe in a retooled 86 Spike exo-suit as a Marvel Cosmo homage)? Oh I'd mash that preorder button so hard, budget be damned!

Edit: Throw in a teeny Armada Laserbeak as the film camera too!

Only real gripe is that his matrix doesn't match SG Optimus but oh well.

Really hope we get a Black Rodimus Convoy one day from Kingdom Rodimus.

Also we need this figure now done up as Dark Hot Rod !

 

Shattered glass Rodimus looks like that quiet vet that lives in a trailer park who always helps elderly people with handy work. A pretty nice guy with a troubled past.

Rodimus Unicronus name is still one of the dumbest names they've ever given to a character. Just Rodimus worked fine.

The figure itself looks nice, very good looking redeco, and the goatee being new sculpting rather than painted on is nice. Which makes it sting that this is probably gonna cost $50+ considering the stupidly inflated prices they've been charging for SG figures lately. It's nice, and I wouldn't mind having it, but I don't need it that badly.

 

I preferred the e-Hobby black MP and G1 black schemes to this. But he looks good.

The whole nature surrounding Velocitrod's release at least makes it a little more interesting for me. But yeah otherwise I wouldn't really care for it if it was just released normally. SG Rod undeniably looks cooler.

Crayola Thundercracker absolutely needs to happen and it would be a sin if he doesn't.

 

Plus if they’re on a Diaclone tangent, the SG Insecticons are literally just the e-HOBBY Clones/their original Waruder colors.

 

I don’t like the name Rodimus Unicronus but I like to think the evil Rodimus Prime is the Unicron possessed Rodimus Prime in the Marvel UK comics.

 

The flame decal is EXACTLY the same with timelines SG Rodimus, which is cool

Yeah the “mystery” aspect does make it cooler, but overall it’s very lackluster to me, especially when compared to SG Roddy-2-Hotty

Problem is SG Rodimus was Rodimus in name only, he never upgraded to the Rodimus body type in either comic run.

As for Kingdom redecos, I can only really picture them doing Primus. The ehobby color used on the one MP was very cool but I have no idea if they'll reference that with a release
