They talk about space-time opening keys, and Unicron liking to possess his victims... So guessing all this fight against Unicron will happen after some time travel, in the very distant past, and they will trap him inside Earth so it all lines up with Last Knight. And possessing his victims... that makes it even more likely that Scourge is Optimus from some alternate future, or past.
I’m definitely not questioning you as you are certainly more knowledgeable than me, but it is weird because they went really in depth with Nightbird, full on calling the fact that she’s an R33 Skyline specifically, or calling out Mirage as a 964 Gen 911. But I digress
Like them being a truck… and having similar looking helmets… but for real tho, what other evidence are you talking about? Legitimately curious
Very funny that you think an executive had to be one to come up with the idea instead of the writer himself, considering the absolute hacks they have working on these films.
Its really funny to me that all the bots have licensed vehicles and then they admit they just made up an airplane for stratosphere, even telling us what parts were cobbled together for it. Couldn't they just rent out an old cargo plane?
I think they probably actually did use a real propeller driven cargo plane for the movie, because that is the exact same description used for the ROTF toy on the TFWiki. The only propeller driven plane described there is the C-130 Hercules, and it doesn’t have the same twin tail design on the rear, so it cannot be that. However I guess it could still be an amalgam anyway, just not any of the planes mentioned
Well, out of all the possible semi trucks they could have chosen for a film in the 90s, they chose specifically the closest they could get to a 379 without actually being a 379. Well, one of the earliest leaks flat out said that Scourge was Bay Prime, moreover that the Terrorcons themselves are corrupted Bayverse Autobots. The truck, as stated above, is suspiciously as close to a 379 as you can get without actually being a 379, as the 359 was its immediately preceding model from the same assembly line. It's not just them being a semi truck, it's them being practically the exact same vehicle from a visual standpoint, since the majority of differences between them are actually internal and not external. And Scourge's main gimmick is taking the faction symbols of his victims, and all faction symbols in this franchise more or less are faces. What's Bayverse Optimus Prime's single most (in)famous line? Plus, there's RID Scourge himself, the main basis for the visuals. He's the archetype of the Nemesis Prime standard, being that in RID, he's a corrupted Autobot Leader who resembles a different Optimus Prime (specifically, G2 Laser Prime because he was a recolor like the majority of the RID bad guys). Finally, there's the fact "horror" keeps getting used to describe the Terrorcons even though they don't really seem that horrific. There's more going on and what's more horrifying than seeing an evil, corrupted version of yourself? You might want to read the early posts in this thread, you're just stating things others already covered.
maybe that’s how he’ll get the accent he had in that clip that was released a few days ago? Similar to how Hūtrūd got his French accent
They have used the wrong description as hes clearly not a mix of a C130, Antanov and the globemaster hes a C119 Flying Boxcar
There’s been a five year drought of live-action Transformers content, the longest since the film series began. This drought has seen robots and AI become an order of magnitude more visible in reality, including an actual self-transforming Optimus Prime toy, as well as increased interest in space and UFOs. At the same time, Marvel movies have taken a hit in popularity if not in quality. All this has to be is not be terrible and it should print money. How hard is that?
yooooooooooooooooooooooooooo they brought back Wheeljack's driving prowess from the OG tech spec! finally! where transit and Scorponok.
Well yeah, I'm aware just we haven't seen the front of him in any footage yet, for all we know they could be using a hybrid plane. And from what I remember there was never a physical plane on set.
one thing of note, is that if the terrorcons are bayverse autobots, and we know scourge is prime, who is who? ironhide or maybe hound for battletrap is obvious, but what about nightbird? there aren't any female car-bots in the movie? well, nightbird is voiced by a transgender actress. sooooooooooooooooooo nightbird is too. so she would be jazz or drift but a woman now. is this cursed? or smart? insensitive? I have no idea
