No, I mean the head crest. I noticed the head crest detached, but no one showed it transforming with the head crest on. They took it off before transforming into train or vice versa, so I was curious if it could transform with the crest on
I don't have the Eva but I do have a few with a crest and it has to be removed for transformation. Luckily it can be stored in one of the trains.
I hope it helps. I still have a few sets that I never opened. I'll get to them eventually. It's not like these have shot up in value, right?
Thanks. No idea. I only ask because unit 02 is selling on amazon for 60, and I has an extra 60 on hand to burn. I don't think they have, but I have no clue.
If it's $60 on Amazon US that's a good price because that's what you would have to pay with shipping from like Amazon Japan.
Yeah, I know, and im tempted, but then I think of all the issues I have with shinkalion. They also have the eva one for 80-87, but tyats less tempting I'm putting it on the maybe list, but I just wanted to know if the helmet could stay on during transformation.
Finally caved in on my first 2 sets - the EVA units 01 and 02! Nabbed them from Amiami, as they were on sale! Kinda getting into these a bit late in the game, as a lot of the other cool sets are now discontinued / unavailable..
If I could get my mitts on just a Dark Shinkalion after these guys, that'd be brilliant.. But having something that transforms and is Evangelion-related is worth it on its own!
So I went through both shows in about a week a month ago. Which led to some spending going a bit… off the rails. Worth it though. Having the Doctor Yellows combined together makes me so very uncomplicatedly happy.
I just received my first Shinkalion (Perfect E5 Yamanote), and am not entirely enthusiastic. Some of the plastic seems fragile (the gold and white plastic mostly; a small bit of white plastic broke off after transforming one of the legs), the joints are fairly loose, and there are quite a few train bits left over in robot mode. The box was sealed by the way. Also, those train links suck and are very hard to get apart once connected. The ones Takara used on Hikarian toys were much better. I will likely pick up a few more, probably the Asuka train and the one that can actually store the left-over bits in robot mode, and maybe the Perfect E6.
Takara Tomy Plarail EVA-02 Shinkalion Z Shinkalion Z 500 TYPE EVA-02 Train Toy Ages 3 and Up Amazon.com It's on amazon for 35. I've hesitated due to wanting to spend money elsewhere, but it seems like a great deal otherwise
That's a good price for the Z series. Sorry to tell you but there will always be extra parts left over, just the style of Shinkalion.
Yeah, one of the reasons I decided no. It's one of my personal pet peeves, like using ball joints for shoulders on larger toys, and in this case just so much left over stuff. Maybe one day, but for now, I'm content to lead others to the 35 dollar deal
