I ended up canceling my Keaton Batman and Batmobile orders after I saw the rumors of an actually 89/Returns release. Hoping if they prove true that the canopy is properly colored.

I’d pick them up as a nice one-off thing but it really is hard to justify even that.

 

For $80, I will happily double dip   .

My ask what rumors?

 

People were talking about them in the DC thread. There’s supposed to be a set of the 89 Batmobile with Batman. Not sure if it’s the first movie suit or the Returns suit though.

There was also a rumor of a Batman multipack spanning most of the live action movies. I’m excited for that because I’d like to get the Clooney and Kilmer suits. Hoping that leads to full waves from those movies if true.

 

Most likely, given McFarlane's trend towards reuse, it will be the Returns suit, significantly reusing parts from Flash figure wearing a spraypainted Keaton Returns suit.

I know some have said that they think that's too skinny but:

- It's honestly about the same build as the 2023 Keaton when you look past the cape. The Flash figures for the new movie are honestly bulky for Ezra Miller and the Keaton figures are a bit slender.

- McFarlane sometimes reuses digital sculpts with modifications. In particular with capes. So it might be possible that the sculpt of that Flash figure could be the basis with tweaked proportions.

 

Gotcha, I like returns suite better.

 

I hope Todd gets the message that there’s been demand for figures based on that Spawn and Redeemer but for the 7” line, those are the designs I wanted to see 1st.

 

Oh, hadn’t clocked there was a world eater too - is that the artist proof one? Helmet wise I’d love a beakie.
There’s been two blood angels but yeah, ums lead the pack. I’m surprised there’s been no space wolves yet - I feel like they’d be in Todd’s wheelhouse.

Saw the whole Page Punchers Aquaman wave in person yesterday and they look good. Looks like they all got decent amounts of paint except for maybe Aquaman’s orange armor.
