right but they do have access to some unreleased items that were produced, like the Caretaker's Array, that have yet to be offered for sale
I thought the Trek ships were the one thing that was announced to be continuing eventually. I think they are just selling the leftover stock to help get things going again.
Corgi announced a license to make trek, but unclear whether they will do what Eaglemoss did or something entirely different
Master Replicas announced two very rare ships going up on Friday 1pm Pacific/4pm Eastern PARLIAMENT class USS Vancouver (as seen in Lower Decks) CONSTELLATION class USS Stargazer (XL size)
Picked up the Enterprise-D and NX-01 for a pretty good price from a Chinese seller on eBay. I half-expected them to be knockoffs, and maybe they are, but they look and feel good enough for me. Goddamn, are they big, though. I know scale isn't Eaglemoss' concern, but they dwarf all the oither Enterprises. Just need the C and the Excelsior and I can consider myself done. The Titan would be nice, but I skipped it back when it was selling for $40, I'm certainly not chasing after it now that it's going for over 100.
So I just bought 2 parts of the big Eaglemoss Enterprise D kit- issues 1 and 2, the bridge and surrounding hull section, and a warp nacelle. Just for kicks, I thought it would be nice to have these iconic bits of the ship. I should be able to make them light up too. Anybody building this set, or doing what I'm doing?
Ultimates Wave two. Guess three figures per wave will be more of the norm going forward for S7. Curious that they’re doing another run of Guinan though rather than include a new character. I’m not complaining though. Kinda hard buying full waves of their figures.
I really like all 3 of these. Might have to grab them all as long as the final product looks this good.
the portraits look really good, but as people have said, the renders are often deceptive to what the final product ends up looking like I don't think Super7 has started using the same real-deco face paint that Hasbro has been using
That Picard has probably the best PStew face likeness I’ve seen on a figure… IF they can maintain the likeness for the actual figure (big if). If it ends up close to that, that alone might make me dive in on this line. It continues to drive me bananas that S7 doesn’t do thigh-cuts on their figures, though. Even if Starfleet characters are mostly gonna be posed standing or kneeling rigidly, I always worry it’s going to make the articulation feel annoyingly limited.
I’m hoping the factory they’ve got working on the Star Trek figures has face printing capabilities. They happened (by chance apparently) to get it for Silverhawks, but their live action lines desperately need it.
I found the Playmates Data and Wrath of Khan Spock at Rosemont Target, $12.99. Very nice, better than I expected. The matte finish looks great. Data can actually hold his tricorder and phaser without the attached loops. As TWoK is my favorite Trek movie, it pains me to say that I don't recall a scene where Spock is wearing the big Engineering gloves and pointing with his left hand. Is that accessory just random? Also, the Miranda-class USS Antares I ordered recently form Real Merch is on its way, yay! She'll be the 4th Miranda/Soyuz in my collection.
Hey all, does anyone know where I could find a box protector (if they exist) for the Playmates Enterprise Reissue that's in Walmart? I just got one signed by William Shatner and wanted to protect it
I might be in for Old Man Worf, though he looks a little scrawny (and his outfit seems a little light). I'll see as we get more production pictures. While I appreciate all the character figures we're getting, Picard S3 gave us A LOT of ship goodness and we need something. Model kits, Playmates toys, micro machines, something.
he wore the gloves when he was in the flooded radioactive engineering compartment when he adjusted the dilithium or whatever he was doing in that pedestal...he just didn't point with the gloves on (that must be an artistic choice to make the accessories more interesting)
that isn't something they specialize in, so I figure probably not the only vehicles I can think of that they have made are things like the GIJOE dogsled
