I cringe at this debate because I am a dedicated meteorological partisan. When it comes to marketing, companies keep it simple and don’t want to have people consult a star chart (hyperbole) to determine when a product is going to hit shelves. If a company says “coming this Spring!”, they almost certainly mean “Between March and May”, not “Between March 20th and June 21st” Consequently, I’d not be shocked if DS dropped in November (despite the extra month they gave themselves in the fine print)

 

Face it, Hasbro is canceling all Victory characters. First making Minerva hard to get. Then canceling Galaxy Shuttle and third not updating Deathsaurus.

 

Seems like we should have had some sort of update by now...

I didn't follow any non-tf Haslab projects. Did they have projects posted year-round? I know there was a glut last fall, but I forget if there were any in the spring...

 

He'll be coming 'round the mountain when he comes.

Hey, Transformers fans and HasLab Deathsaurus backers! We’re here with a long- awaited update for you. Together with our amazing partners at Takara Tomy, we’ve been working incredibly hard to get the Decepticon Emperor of Destruction tooled up and into pre-production! It’s going to be one of the most amazing Transformers projects yet, and we cannot wait to see what you think!

Until we reach the point when we can show you the tooling process, let’s shift gears and talk about something equally as exciting – the PACKAGING! As this HasLab is a direct companion (read arch-nemesis!) to our previous HasLab, Victory Saber, we strived to bring consistency to the box art. Of course, this means there was no one else we felt could better connect a bridge between the two than Transformers Hall of Fame Comic Artist, Guido Guidi!

So here it is! Your EXCLUSIVE first look at Guido’s early draft that brings Deathsaurus to life!


Knowing that Deathsaurus would want his Imperial portrait to capture the full breadth of his tyrannical mightiness, we felt that it was important to showcase as much as we could in the artwork. Since his throne is an integral part of the show, and iconic to Deathsaurus more so, it needed to be featured on the front of the box. Equally, we wanted Tigerchest and Eaglechest to be prominently featured as well, since they’re the first of their kind in Transformers: Legacy.

We hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into just one of the many processes intricately woven into bringing this HasLab to you, and all of the hard work that’s being poured into creating the ultimate Transformers HasLab. not necessarily but they are a very good "big project" candidate, they are combiners ( huge plus in popularity) , they are part of the breastforce team under deathy, they haven't had a non redeco toy since g1, lots of potential for redecos if they are new molds.

possibly a potential future haslab or mainline, i personally want to see hasbro start using the crowded funded haslab molds for mainline release. redeco deathy, VS or remolds for other characters.

DS looks kinda...flat. Like 2-dimensional flat. Like each part was drawn separately at different times and angles, then was cut out and pasted on a canvas. Not really knocking the artwork-it\'s style looks good. Maybe that\'s what Mr Guidi was going for. Just not my taste.
