I'll partially disagree because I actually really like both Exodus and Exiles.

 

IIRC, Exodus was the least bad one, and was the most thorough account of the end of Cybertron and the loading of The Ark at that point, so it kinda helped set the template for future adaptations of that timeframe.

 

I think you're overly optimistic, Lorenzo is the producer, and he seems to have an agenda that he's sticking to, unless he loses his shirt.

I would love to have those expectations you suggested.

 

I’d be perfectly fine with a super minimalist story and just go full on psychedelic 80s sci-if hair metal music video with the the rest of the film. In fact I’d be more than fine with it, I encourage and endorse it.

I may have missed it but is there any indication of how the robots will be styled? Call me elitist but I\'ll have to pass/wait to see it free if they\'re styled in the modern Bayverse look and not as G1 as possible.

 

Not as controversial as you think. Plenty of people are sick of it. Personally, I'd love to see an animated adaptation of IDW's take on their backstory, but I wouldn't be opposed to something completely different, either, especially since nearly everything we've gotten in the last 15 years or so has reused elements of the IDW origin. What's the point of having multiple universes if you're just going to keep doing the same over and over?

 

Thats why I like the Megatron Spotlight so much.
Megs goes from a lowlevel worker to underground gladiator to symbol of lowerclass freedom to leader of the freedom fighters. But loses his way and gets too violent to be considered a hero unless you are a decepticon.

In that time, orion pax gets killed and rebuilt as new leader to counter this agressive wave.

This keeps the war centric and important!

 

They also said Bumblebee is not a prequel. Also Bumblebee is a complete reboot....

Sure, there’s a reason so many of us love that movie. And it’s a style that’s built into the franchise at this point.

Take that style and go crazy with other stories.

Just imagine something like IDW Shadowplay and the Orion Pax cop stories animated like the 86 movie. Would be bloody brilliant.

Oh no, its the dreaded boogeyman, Lorenzo, the speaker of bullshit, scourge of the Bay haters, and molester of childhoods! Everyone run and hide, lest you feel his wrath of saying Quintessa was a human or whatever dumb thing it is that he said that people like to parrot.

On the real though, this sounds pretty cool! I'm very excited to see where this animated film goes, I think there is some potential here!

 

This could be a really good movie. But Lorenzo will screw it up as usual. Stay away from animation Lorenzo, you already have control of Live Action TF's. Booo!

i joke, but i do prefer superlink's models to the ones used in the bbm intro. the superlink models dont have pseudo-bay faces on g1 bodies.

plus, id love to see them try to make cg models blend in with 2D backgrounds like superlink did. maybe make it slightly more like devastation's approach to cell-shading.
