The Shrapnel I ordered was cancelled due to damage during delivery. It hit about as far as the postal processing center and then was declared DOA. They're refunding me, but its a bummer as it was supposed to arrive today. Better declared in delivery though than my having to put in a claim. Off to Entertainment Earth I went with that this morning so a while longer to wait.

Mine was supposed to arrive yesterday but then on Sunday my order suddenly said "Now Arriving June 2nd" with no notice. It's not a huge deal, I'm confident I'll get Shrapnel from somewhere, but I thought it strange because I haven't seen Amazon delay an order this way before.

 

And now just got notified that he's on the way! Should be here tomorrow.

 

And, for those keeping score, delayed again to Friday by USPS. I get Starscream is the fastest seeker, and Skywarp can teleport, but what's the deal Thundercracker?

 

Mine is still scheduled for delivery today(Thursday).

 

Maybe he keeps stopping to hang out with dogs?

I've had that happen to me with a purchase from Amazon once before (a model kit). I was honestly surprised and disappointed. I'm honestly curious what qualifies as "damaged during delivery" exactly. I mean, are we talking the outer packaging is slightly damaged like a tear, but the actual physical product may be alright? Or was it accidentally run over in a warehouse? Inquiring minds want to know.

I've returned and rebought multiple times in the past, when there's a sale etc. Most recently last week. Sometimes 4 times cuz it kept getting cheaper.

No issues yet. But going forward, not sure. Guess I'll find out.

 

Amazon "frequently returned item" = highly likely to be on sale or discounted at some point (hence the high return rate). They should just go back to honoring a price adjustment within a reasonable time of purchase like 30 days.

Amazon apparently lost my Shrapnel in shipping. I got a notification it shipped and was picked up 3 days ago and then nothing but 'delayed' until I contacted support and all they could tell me is it was lost and they will process a refund. Seems like they're having an odd amount of problems with this specific figure

I used to be a mail carrier, and there were a couple homes on my route that regularly received packages of herpetology supplies, including boxes of live crickets. Every box of crickets that arrived always had escapees in the LLV (mail truck) and the post office, either from a nonsealed flap or through a hole they chewed in one of the box's screened vent holes.

I imagine the Shrapnels Shrapnels are escaping from their shipping boxes similarly.
